The food was decent and the price was right but when the server presented me with my bill she told me if I paid cash she got 100% of the tip and if I paid debit she had to tip out the kitchen.Girl, as a chef, that was a bad move. 50% or more of YOUR tip is dependent on the kitchen. That was a crass, rude cash grab and you never know if the person you're talking to is a cook or not.Hope you enjoyed splitting your tip.

Food is good, service is fine. Watching the manager who arrived this week be-little the staff has been hard to watch. Owner’s HR dept should be taking a hard look into some internal leadership awareness and in this case an English course or two would go a long way. Disgraceful!

Calamari was great, cooked perfectly. Very nice selection of beer from a Grande Prairie Brewery. Back yard has a nice swing chair over looking the river.

Was there last thrusday for wings with 2 others both friends got there wings first and time they were almost done my order came out service sucked considering there was only one other table was like she didn't know what she was doing, enjoyed this place when it first opened went few times service and food was great

Okay so Lava Grill is just new to everything but I gotta hand it to em. I tried the lava burger and oh man, its taste had my mouth watering for another bite. Way better then most burger places here in whitecourt. I also had a milkshake where it was again really good however the paper straws wernt the greatest but the waitress was more then happy to give me a couple. On top of that the onion rings were done right, No issues there. I did notice they were a little overcooked but aside from that the flavor was good. The asthetic of the place was nice with outdoor and indoor seating. Two billiard tables and a few TV's for sports was nice but the placements of the TV's could have been better. Friendly and cheerful staff really made it a nice place to stop and eat

If your thirsty or hungry stay away unless you have about 6 hours to wait!!!! Worst service in ALBERTA!!! Some chick with green hair doesnt have a clue what she is doing,,, very poor waitress / bartender,,, never going back,,good thing there were only 4 tables with only maybe 8 guys in there...stood at bar for 5 minutes then was told to go have a seat 15 minutes later came over i orderwd my white claw and 25 minutes later still never had it so i cancelled and left....waitress should really look for a new job!!!
