This place was great! Yummy beer and great service from Vanya. She made our evening fun!
Found this place in the first hour on our first visit to Alaska and it did NOT disappoint. I had a flight of really excellent beers and the Yak burger and ate it on a rooftop patio facing the sunset at 11pm. Do I need to say more?
Yes, it was magic. I can't imagine a better welcome to the 49th State than to visit their brewing. +1 for the 2025 Sewards Folly and the Smok beers. Delish!
It was slammed and the servers and bussers were totally on top of it. King crabby grilled cheese and chowder was great
The beer and food were super amazing! They probably have the best food in town! We got the fish and chips and the king crab grilled cheese. We will keep coming back and recommending this place to anyone visiting anchorage!
Visited here for dinner based on recommendation. Beer/ciders were good. Food, nothing exceptional. Burger was dry, flatbreads tasted like they’d been preheated and cooled. Crab legs served with not enough butter and when requesting more we hit the excuse that the kitchen was too busy. Server was friendly but very obviously new to her job. Tough start to the busy season. For the 500.00 we spent, it was not the best meal we’ve had during our visit thus far. Wanted to like it more.
Came here on a Friday evening to find an extensive hour plus wait. When we saw the line was long we assumed that the restaurant would be great; it was not. First problem was one of the “manager” I can’t remember his name but it’s some quite unprofessional speaking guy with a lazy eye. I’m in the service industry myself, and noticed him eating food from the restaurant at a restaurant table during a 7pm dinner rush when other staff looked frantic. Definitely a bad sign when I notice that 5 minutes into sitting down at our table after a 1+ hour wait. Our waiter was average. The food was tasteless and the ‘smok’ apparently “award winning amazing beer” was actually some of the worst beer I’ve ever tasted in my life. Not to mention that this place was ridiculously expensive for bad service and food. Probably way better food in Alaska in this place. Don’t come here unless you want to waste your time and money!
A little bit of a wait to sit on the patio but makes sense since it was Friday and the weather is nice. We waited a little over 25 min for our table but the view was worth it. We tried a flight with the 8 star lager, Arnold Palmer, Alaskan roots cider, and tigers blood. They have a good selection of beers available for the flight but kinda disappointed because some of the ones we were interested in weren’t an option or were out of stock completely. We also got some sodas to go because we love their root beer and aurora soda.
Came here for a burger and beers and it did not disappoint! They had plenty of seating and I loved the decor. The elk burger was perfect after a long day outside and the beer selection was even better. They had a wide range of beers and allowed most to be sampled through beer flights. They had some crazy fun flavors! Try them all!
Beer we’re all good and we really enjoyed food. Halibut tacos were a hit with my wife. I had a deconstructed majestic burger (no bun). Very happy.
Great food with a fantastic deck view!

Great food and beer. Worth a stop if you have time.
We put our party on the list and got text confirmation to find out about a hour after they forgot to but would grantee we are next… a half hour later the person that said that is gone and the person there said ok I understand and nothing else
Food is great, beer is great. Service is horrid. Our server hadn’t dropped our beers after ordering a last round for around 20 minutes, so I went to find him to cancel the order so we could leave. Couldn’t find him anywhere, so I asked the manager if she knew who the waiter for our table and her response was jarring. “I don’t know, and I’m not trying to find out.”
Wow, okay. A simple question met complete disregard. I understand they may feel they can treat people however they want, they’re tourists and not coming back right?
I travel constantly for work and would’ve been happy to be a repeat customer. Oh well.
They don’t care.
This place was packed, had a wait but went faster than expected! The crab artichoke dip was good with pita. The atmosphere is fun ( a little loud) would have sat outside if it wasn’t too chilly! Pretty view
Great place. Great service. Great food. Great beer. John was amazing!! Made our day.
