49th State Brewing - Ted Stevens

Stopped in quick for a few drinks( excellent btw), Michael was taking care of me and gave me probably some of the best service I’ve received from a bartender/server in a long time. Would recommend the visit if you’re up in Anchorage.

Was already bad enough that the place was dirty, staff were rude, and food wasn’t good. Icing on the cake was that they gave my pregnant wife and I food poisoning. Ruined the entire first half of our vacation.

The halibut was over cooked and the portion of fries please. I had to complain yes it was for my daughter but for the price it should have been more. Look at the picture of fish and chips for the price this is crazy. The cheese for the pretzel tasted like the cheapest cheese you can find in a can but the pretzel was good and nice size. But still can’t get over the fish and chip size even for the kids meal. And the picture was before it was touched on our end.

Expeditious service and a great burger, along with 20 beers on tap. Nice copper bar.
Out server, Maya, was a 17 year veteran of airport restaurant service and is a great reason to come back on the next time through.

Great beer selection and very solid quality.

The beer was excellent — fresh, well balanced, and easy to enjoy. Perfect stop before a flight or while waiting at the airport. Atmosphere is relaxed, service is fast, and everything feels well organized.

Definitely worth stopping by if you like good craft beer 🍺

The chicken on the yumyum bowl is delicious but the rice is meh, wish they just used regular rice. We also ordered the calamari and halibut fish and chips! Definitely gonna come back again whenever we have a long layover.

My fiance and I had three 3-hour layover at Anchorage airport. We stopped in at the 49th state brewery and had breakfast. We bartendered that opened December 20th Saturday, was amazing! Really knowledgeable about different beers, flavors, passionate, personable, and on point with service. Service. He introduced us to new flavors, was passionate about the beers they offered and was easily one of the top bartenders we've ever met. I wish I could offer more than five stars! We had a fantastic time. Food was pretty good. Pricing was great! Thank you! 49th state brewery! Take care of that guy. You're only as good as your staff!

If you are a muslim, try to ask the ingredients in their menu first. The clam chowder they have, has pork ingredient in it. Any other than that seems fine. I like their home made root beet float. Taste super good!

We had breakfast after a overnight flight was diverted to Anchorage. We were seated promptly and Ava was our server, new to this location but outstanding in service, personality and followup. Both our meals were above average but the scrambled eggs were the best I have ever enjoyed. The accompanying bacon and reindeer sausage only added to the experience. Highly recommend and if possible ask for Ava. Enjoy
