Pains me to give only three stars because the products are great. The issue I have is that I dropped off some elk meat to have only a few pounds of pastrami made. I received a text message three days later reading it was ready (I was surprised given their pastrami schedule, but took their word for it). I paid for it and gave them my ticket upon arrival and it turns out the order wasn't ready. No big deal. They said they would call me when it was ready at the end of the month (November). After leaving I called back and asked if I should have grabbed my ticket, they said "no, you're fine." I waited until December 5th to call and ask if it was ready, which it was.I never received a text or a call that it was ready.I feel a 3 star review is fair due to the fact that I brought in game meat that took ten days of hunting with a lot of logistics and planning to get that meat back home. People earn every single ounce of meat they hunt, and I am trusting someone else to take care of that meat. Having not received any word (which was promised and that I didn't need the ticket) on the status of the order is discouraging me from returning with any future game. I prefer Alaska Sausage and Seafood's products over the competition. But if I'm risking losing something I put so much effort into, I'll go to the competition. But, I guess having game processed by someone else is always a risk.

Don't pay tourist prices for Alaskan salmon gift sets, get it straight from the packager. The same thing at the airport gift shop but cheaper.

BEST PLACE TO PROCESS GAME MEATS, SALMON & HALIBUT. A Family owned Business. Their staff are incredibly efficient and warming. The taste its simply THE BEST! They also deliver, prepare amazing gift baskets to either send for you via FedEx to ANY PART OF THE WORLD! or to take yourself, they also have a mini store inside with the most amazing sandwich Meats, Cheeses and other seafood varieties including a mini German Market with so many amazing things! In such cozy establishment. It is BEAUTIFUL just to enter and be in there. I REALLY MISS this place sooo MUCH. I put 4 and a half years working for then and I'll do it all over again just because my experience was the most beautiful next to such a GREAT FAMILY just this time, would stay forever. Carrie, You will always be remembered with so much respect and love, best manager EVER! Great place to pick up some fresh salmon. Staff was knowledgeable and spent a lot of time explaining the different types of salmon. They even gave me samples of each type to try.

We caught 37 lbs of Rockfish and Salmon in Seward but were wary of processing it and shipping it from there (we are from Texas and know nothing about shipping fish). After talking to some locals we decided on Alaska Sausage and Seafood. I had read they were the most expensive in town but considering our lack of knowledge we went with the local recommendations. Supremely satisfied. They cleaned, deboned and packaged it for less than $200. They also recommended taking it on the plane vs shipping it due to loss of quality - and they stored it at their facility for three days FOR FREE until we picked it up on the way to the airport. Checking it and picking it up in Houston was WAAAY easier than we feared it would be - so definitely check it rather than ship it. Can’t recommend this place enough. A big thanks to them for helping some tourists get their fish home fresh and taking the stress out of the situation with great service and advice.

That said, the woman at the counter was just miserable, she must have been bored to death or just worn out, didn’t want to be bothered to talk or answer questions, — rudest sale person I have ever encountered, how does she even hold on her job?
