Dropped in randomly to see what all the hype was about. I have had their lunch menu before as take out and have always enjoyed their chicken sandwich. Now I'm ready to try some dinner and am seated at the bar which has a very uncomfortably sterile asthetic. More of an exposed sense of being rather than a comfortable one. Menu prices were exceptionally high, but I had a choice in mind to try. Unfortunately, no one ever addressed me after the host seated me. I'm not going...
This was my first time at Altura. It was amazing. The food exceeded my expectations. The bone marrow was the best I've ever had. The gnocchi were perfectly light and fluffy. Black cod is my favorite fish and this did not disappoint. It was prepared with Indian spices and was delightful. For dessert, we had the clafoutis which was very yummy. Presentation was perfect abs the waitstaff were excellent.
Pretty exquisite and food was creatively crafted. Well done. The Australian wagyu wasn't was great compared to Japanese Wagyu. But that is just the meat.. not the restaurant nor the chef. Overall great experience!! Thank you
