Phenomenal food!!! Can’t wait to have them again
Just look around the corner for the white tent! Their store is under renovation. The dumplings were SO GOOD 🤩 Staff was very friendly and gave us some recommendations for things to do around town, as we were visiting. Would highly recommend trying this place!
Beef dumplings were delicious. I usually hate spicy food but the hot sauce was great when combined with sour cream - would highly recommend trying.
One of Downtown Anchorage secrets... Pel'meni is purely satisfying, warm, simple & truly comforting flavors. I live an hour away from this spot. When in town, I'm always stopping in to grab one of each (potato &beef) mix them into one pile and enjoy. Last time I brought extra orders home to share and eat the next day. I love Pel'meni. **They're popped up outdoors this summer after their shop had a truck smash the front windows a few months back.
NEW LOCATION!! They're now a street vendor around the corner in front of the parking garage. There are a couple uncovered picnic benches available for customers to eat at. Very glad I got to finally have my first pelmeni! Delicious!
love love this place! its definitely a favorite stop after work!
Love this place! All locations are good. WHILE UNDER CONSTRUCTION: they have a sun shade and tables next to their location. They are open for business.
A little slow during lunch, but it's definitely one of the best deli's in Anchorage
I am Russian so I’ve had my fair share of pelmeni, this review is mostly for the Russians. Don’t go. Go to the local Russian store get your pelmeni there and make them at home. I’m not sure if they make these batches in house or order somewhere but they were Inconsistent, some of them didn’t even have anything in them. It was just dough. And the flavor was pretty mediocre. I’ve also never really seen curry as a topping on Pelmeni before so that was interesting.
This place is the bomb. If you love pelmeni and especially if you are looking for somewhere open late!

This pelmeni shop offers potato and meat dumpling options and the typical topping options (hot sauce, curry powder, cilantro, vinegar, butter), as well as a side of rye bread and sour cream (in the fridge). The dumplings are $9 and drinks are $2 as of 12/28/2024. The food is high quality and is ready quickly for takeout or sit-down dining. The service is quick and kind. If it isn’t too busy, the records in the back are available to be switched out for whatever music you like. This spot is very similar in quality to the Juneau, AK pelmeni restaurant, for those looking for something similar.
Vegetarian options: The menu is half vegetarian and the toppings are all vegetarian, aside from sour cream for which they have no alternative.
