Antonios Greek Bakery & Café

My wife and I decided to try this place for dinner tonight. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. Please don't be turned away by the dining area. While it is small, it has a rather cozy and quaint trait to it. Definitely will be back.

Absolutely delicious. The best Greek food I've had in Alaska, hands down! The gentleman that took my order and cooked the food was incredibly kind and helpful, and the food was prepared quickly. We had dolmas, spanikopita, gyros, and a delicious lasagna dish he recommended. And omg the potatoes! We ate too quickly to take pictures. Can't wait to stop by next time we are in town! Thank you!

Antonio's Greek Bakery & Cafe is a destination when I get the craving for flavorful food and superb service. You must try the Moussaka and the Chicken dinner with lemon potatoes! The owner, Antonio is probably the best part of visiting the cafe because he is friendly and passionate about his food. I will keep coming back again and again.

​I honestly don’t know why it took us so long to finally step inside this wonderful shop.

​The owner is a truly kind, wonderful man who makes you feel so welcome. Every single pastry we tried was absolutely delicious, but the baklava completely stole the show - probably one one of the best we've ever had.

Have you ever had dolmas before? Spanakopita?

I assure you, until you have eaten at Antonio’s you have not. Rich and amazing, any of the food you have here will be the best Greek food you have ever eaten.

Antonio is so warm and friendly, he makes the experience of eating here one you will remember. You sit in? It feels like you’re sitting in a home while your host makes you the best food you have eaten in your life. Eating on the go? The food will transport you to a sun drenched Greek afternoon.

I make a point to come in whenever I am in Anchorage. I cannot sing the praises of this shop enough. I haven’t even mentioned the desserts offered. As I write, I eat one of the cookies he threw into my to go order. Sweet, filled with spices and balanced.

Eat at Antonio’s, feel the love imbued into each dish. You won’t regret it.

Absolutely lovely, we came to purchase a bunch of pastries before our flight home. Antonio is so welcoming and this place is such a hidden gem!! It’s always wonderful to find somewhere truly authentic!

What started as a spontaneous visit quickly turned into one of my favorite dining discoveries. From the moment we walked in, Antonio's warm and genuine hospitality set the tone for an exceptional experience.

The menu is impressively diverse, offering a wonderful variety of dishes that made choosing difficult. We ultimately settled on the Pastitsio and Moussaka dishes — both were beautifully prepared and full of flavor. In under 15 minutes, our meals arrived accompanied by a fresh, crisp salad, perfectly seasoned potato slices, and a warm side of bread that rounded out the meal beautifully.

Whether you're looking for a cozy café to unwind or a bakery with serious culinary chops, this place delivers on both fronts. I'll absolutely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

I wish Google gave me the option of rating 6 stars, because let me tell you that the hospitality and food in this place are outstanding!!! I had the moussaka and my husband had the Greek version of lasagna: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Portions are generous, the salad and potatoes are amazing 😋 and you even get bread on the side! The music transports you to Greece, and the flavors even make you feel like you're there!
Antonio is an amazing host, super kind, super gentle, suuuper friendly! We will definitely go back! We loved it!
Oh, and the cookies? Just the cherry on top!

Had the best Greek lunch at Antonio’s! We had been wanting to try this place for a while and so happy we got to because it is the closest we’ve felt to being back in Greece. The gyros were great and the pita is amazingly fluffy and delicious. Antonio is so sweet and gave us some cookies that went along great with our Greek coffees. Can’t wait to come back again and try the rest of the menu items 🇬🇷

This is a tough one for me because this place really seems genuine with good food and a sweet owner. But the amount of grim on the tables, menues, and walls doesn't sit well with me.

Antonio is always so nice, and his food is to die for. I'm particularly fond of his meatloaf, but everything I've tried has been good. Extremely generous portions, too! I don't typically eat much, so I can usually make 2 or 3 meals out of one entree, but my partner, who has a working man's appetite, is also well satisfied. If you haven't been here, you are definitely missing out!

The dining area is very small, but can accommodate 3 to 3 small groups of diners.

I had the sweetest experience with Antonio today. I ordered two gyro plates and they were prepared so quickly and smelled wonderful. I went to pay with a card and his machine was down. I explained that I only had $20 cash, and he said, “That’s ok. If you are ever in the area, you can come give me $10. If you don’t come, don’t worry about it.” The food was so delicious. My kid kept picking the potatoes off my plate. He also placed some sweets in my bag. It was just such a lovely interaction. I will 100% return, not only because of his kind act but because I loved the food.

The BEST baklava I’ve ever had hands down! I will be back every time I’m up this way! Crunchy melty all the way thru and the taste is amazing.
