I love reading, so going here is an escape.

Pretty good book store. I think its the only real bookstore in Anchorage. Has a starbucks cafe inside and of course all the Barnes and Nobles sections. Was somewhat lacking in their technology book area. Also they have some old car in its parking lot that needs to be moved. Otherwise it's a good store

Great bookstore if you are looking for new books. We have used the pickup order online option, and that works will.

It's still my go-to book store. Good selection. I found what I needed. The store was clean, has polite staff, and easy access parking. Enjoyed my visit.

Great place, great coffee, great books ?

Seems like the checkout line generally needs 1 more cashier. Most visits have had 6-8 customers in line not moving fast.

Wholesome place to go spend time with the family

They answered the phone. They checked for a book. They pulled it and held it, and I was able to pick it up the same day.

Friendly staff. A quiet place to spend a while looking for the right book. Pretty good selection of books and magazines. If you get thirsty, grab a mocha to fuel your search.

It seems better stocked than some B&N stores in the States. We need help finding something, and they were johnny-on-the-spot. They treated us like family, valued customers.

Spiked shoes for easier walking and pin - pointing places where you want to meet with your partner @ a date set or any time that works for them... More private places... Mine would be the Airport to see if anyone we know arrives or leaves... I know a secret room there to read or catch up on anything that I missed about 37-38 years ago or what my parents or grandparents was involved in... On going family problems... I'm really interested in connecting with H.M.C.C. (Hiland Mountain Correctional Center's, input on places they'd like to visit here in Anchorage before they return home) Correctional Center's :( hotel's w/ elevator's will work... ) Key's to places that are chosen... I'd choose The Captain Cook as a nice place to go.

Didn't realize that you had to go to the "correct" line at the front desk. I was standing behind a bunch of people in line, and someone who went through the "correct" line got helped before everyone else. I normally like going here, and I don't really have any complaints about anything else. But I'm still irritated that I stood in what I thought was the lone for 5 minutes just to get passed up.
