Night out with few friends. We had a pretty great chef, very personable and engaging. We had lots of laughes especially since a different chef played a couple practice jokes.Drinks were good and food was seasoned nicely. Scallops seared perfectly. Wait staff was attentive with very good service. Great experience ending with picture taken, printed and framed that will be cherished.

Took almost 40 minutes to get our frost drink which was very disappointing. The food was good, not as good as I have had in the past. Everything took really long. We had reservations at 7 and had to leave at 9:30 without getting our “free” dessert because it was too late.

I'm disappointed in how much Benihana Anchorage has gone downhill. They now cram as many people into the limited space allowed, as possible. Not only adding to the noise level being equivalent to what I would compare to McDonald Playland. But not even allowing enough space for the chefs to move safely or space for their food carts, or nescisary equipment to be used in a manner that Benihana is known for the show of the meal. Once seated, people are unable to move again before the end of the meal, in some cases not even to allow leg room by pushing chairs from tale by a few inches. I was unable to access my jacket on the back of my chair for needed medication, or phone for pictures. The noise level did not allow me to hear my partner next to me for conversation, or any communication between other at the table. The chef was unable to be heard at all for questions for food prep, jokes, or any other communication of any kind. The calamari appetizer was so over cooked, it was worse then boot leather and I actually could not chew through it enough to swallow, and had to spit it out in my napkin. The salad was nothing but lettuce stems, and swimming in dressing to the point the people next to me thought it was soup and tried to eat it with their soup spoon. I had the all seafood dinner, which every item was so over cooked, I can honestly say I've had better in drive through. The hostess came and offered pictures, in which my date was excited. Only to receive a quick, impersonal one shot without warning, leaving my eyes closed and trying to adjust my dress, and my date still adjusting his chair. No offer for a second chance. When the chef was done, we were left less then 3 min before check was brought. The first couple had already left, after a less then adequate birthday dinner, thinking that the check came and they were being pushed out the door. When the hostess came back and said... “nobody wanted dessert? No?” When asked if options, replied “ice cream” then left.

Took 2.5 hours - waited an hour for chef to start. Manager was great, gave our table free cali rolls. Prices have gone up about 10-15.00 more.

Sheridan, our chef was amazing! My wife and I already enjoy the restaurant. We go there a few times a year. We had never ended up having Sheridan as our chef.....but will now only go when see if he is available in advance. The food is always great, the shows they out on are fun. Sheridan made the night. Probably the best food we have ever had there and really made the show his own.
Ask for Sheridan when you go. You won't be disappointed!
We were seated immediately without a reservation which was pretty amazing during a busy night. Out server was very attentive to our needs and even brought out dessert for my sons birthday with a crowd singing happy birthday in English and Japanese, very cute! We even got a photo souvenir to bring home with us!
The dinner itself was absolutely amazing! Our chef Bradley was really attentive to our needs and requests. He made us laugh and was very generous with the food. We usually have leftovers coming home from hibachi dinner but not this time, we ate everything that was served because it was so good. Would recommended this place to anyone!

Parking: Parking is pretty large and we were able to find parking close to the door.
