We really enjoy Bernie's and visit often. It's one of the few places to go in Anchorage that you can smoke cigars and have a tasty beverage. Even in the winter they'll fire up the outdoor heaters so you stay warm and dry.
The food is surprisingly good, and service has always been top notch.
This isn't a posh bar, but it's a fantastic lounge and place to hang out. They do what they do very well.

This place is one of a kind and has everything you could possibly want for a fun family lunch/dinner on the beautiful patio or an evening out with a date or friends. The entire staff is warm and inviting, and the menu features quite a few gourmet-caliber dishes…definitely not your typical bar food! DJ and live music nights are my absolute favorite - no better place to dance! Taco Tuesday is a close second 🤗 Highly recommended!!

For us non-locals, when the courtyard is closed for the winter, they should put out better signage to find the entrance in the courtyard. Once inside, the staff, atmosphere, and food are outstanding. The wings are excellent. The bartender knows how to pull a Guinness draft.

A friend and I stopped by on our way home from bar hopping 1 night. We did not have food. However, we each ordered a drink, and they were well made and reasonably priced. Nice chill crowd. We felt safe. And the people were Appropriately friendly. We will probably try the food next time.

We didn't have a chance to catch a bite to eat, but this was purely a drinking expedition... I had a chance to sit on one of their purple, lounge couches and I was not disappointed. Drinks were great, priced well and delivered to our table by the bartender. Nice, cozy, friendly, local atmosphere.

Excelente Place to be on a mid to late afternoon or the perfect place for a Friday or Saturday night life. Great atmosphere socializing with your family and friends or your other half. I highly recommend Bernie’s!!

Ive stayed on the Vegas Strip, Music Row Nashville, Mardi Gra New Orleans and none of those places come close to circum navigating noise pollution. For this reason they deserve 5 stars.
