Matanuska midtown is a great place to stop and grab a good pizza or burger with a friend. The atmosphere is very relaxing music & great and sometimes they have highlights on the big TV. The menu is pretty much the same from Eagle River Matuska, but there are some differences here all in all both places are relatively the same and I recommend both.

Server that sat us was very rude and felt like we were being rushed. After seating us at a table she placed menus on the table and walked away not one word was said, we sat there for about 15 minutes and not one person came up to take our drink or food orders meanwhile other people that were seated got service right away. The place was maybe half full so not too busy. After waiting we ended up walking out the hostest that sat us just stood and stared at us while we left still not one word was said. Second night in a row we couldn't get service, Doubt we'll be going back again.

Just went there tonight for the first and last time Food was so so Halibut was overcooked Prices very high for the quality I asked for three different beers and they were all out on all of them But the last straw for me was when our dinners came and our French fries were cold (really cold) the waitress asked if we wanted them refried Are you kidding me ??

Find another establishment. Too loud, you can’t have a conversation with your table. Food is ok , understaffed wait time is an issue once you are seated. Staff don’t have the time to check on you. Had to wave someone down for assistance more than once.

We walked quite a distance to get here and it was worth it. We met a local at the bar and it made for a fantastic afternoon. There were so many beers to chose from and they did not disappoint. Probably the best brewery we were at in AK.

Has a healthy selection of good beers on draft. However, you are charged a processing fee when using a credit card. This is not something patrons should expect. I will avoid this place until policies and practices improve.

One of my favorites for a sports bar that actually serves really good food, as well as a full line up of beers and full bar service. Clean, good service, great airy atmosphere. The Reuben there is absolutely delish.

I had the poke nachos and the Magnitude 9.2 beer which were both amazing! I would recommend check this place out if you are in the area.
The Rock pizza was good. Fries with ranch ok.The service is slow at the start and the whole visit and the place was not busy.

Food was excellent, our server was very friendly, and the atmosphere was great. We spent several hours there catching up with out-of-state visitors who commented favorably regarding the menu selections and great food.

We were going to another recommended place but an hour and a half wait led us here. It was pretty busy but they got us a table right away. They had Trivia night starting and interesting other activities. They had an interesting Pub food menu. We got their version of bruschetta, which was triangles of good fried dough and a pile of grape tomatoes, olives and balsamic mixture. It was really good. We also got pastrami sliders and they were really good. Good beers. Service was a little slow and spotty, but it was busy.The entertainment from watching people axe throw was the unique experience of the night.

Loved this place! Gluten free Mediterranean pizza was fantastic & we paired it with the bleu cheese salad. Perfect combo! Also loved the Garden Gimlet cocktail- highly recommend!

Darn it. These guys have gone downhill. We visited again June 30 Friday as our favorite burger place was just too busy. This place wasn't however--that should have been our first clue. We got right in. Server was quick to seat us. I ordered a cheese burger with fries. Husband ordered a Mahi salad. My burger was quite dry. I checked the menu and the kitchen forgot to put the mayo on it. So we had to hunt down someone to get us mayo. Also, that evening there was a dj. The music was so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Keep in mind that this was a 6 p.m.---not the drinking hour. We asked if the dj could turn the music down, and he did--a bit. Looking around most of the patrons were there for conversation, not the music. I found it amusing that while we were there the dj took a cell phone call and he turned the music way down to take the call. So he knew that one could not have a conversation with the music as loud as he had it. Unfortunately, this place was off that night. We'll think twice before going back.
