What a great lunch special. For less than the price a fast food meal deal, I enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak with all of the trimmings. My server was fast and just the right amount of attentive. Fabulous!
Not impressed at all; service was excellent but the food did not live up to the hype. Steak was cooked proper but had zero flavor... Not worth it
Our group of 3 ladies ate at the steakhouse on 3/4/20 and had pretty good service (the waiter was really friendly) but were disappointed in the steaks. Two of us had New York strip and one had the steak and lobster. All three of us thought our steaks were really tough with way too much gristle. Also, the drinks didn't get to the table until midway through the meal. The salads and side dishes were good.
We were seated quickly.
We had a very diligent waiter but our steaks were miss cooked. Mine was missing the mushrooms and blue cheese. My dad's arrived over cooked as medium well instead of the medium rare he asked for. Ultimately between my dinner and his he wasn't able to eat with the rest of us. The time it took to cook up another one for him meant he didn't get to eat with us. Good atmosphere and clean but the kitchen needs to up its game on a Monday night.
Do not use this place. Called at 6 to schedule a reservation for 2 people. “We are booked till 8:45” okay put me down. Arrive here at 8:45 to be told they “over booked and can’t hold anymore people”. What a joke. On Valentine’s Day at this time of night. we will now be eating fast food thanks shattle company. Save yourself the trouble and eat elsewhere.
Very underwhelming. Wouldn't do it again. Looks nice from outside, but has that "chain" feel in the inside. I come from an area in the country where we have fine steak houses and this isn't it. The service was good. But the food, particularly the steak, was horrible. They tried to serve me a steak that clearly smelled bad and was rotten. I had to return it and they even agreed... Really Chef....have some respect for your work and the food you put out....!.Server even told me that it was the last cut of that meat and apologized. They cooked me another cut of meat, and that was ok (and gave me a few extra sides) but even that was just plain underwhelming. Like I said, this place has the feel of a chain restaurant, and it's food has "chain" quality. I will never return. Very disappointed.
I have been going to this restaurant for many years, not as a real regular but enough to say that it is definitely up there on the top of my list of places to go. I do appreciate that it is quite enough one can have a conversation and actually hear everything unlike most restaurants. I also like how the booths make you feel like you have just a little bit of privacy.
Food, service and atmosphere are relaxing, superb and delicious. Our waitress, Tiffany, was a dream. Made for a very enjoyable dinner on a very cold evening. Cattle Company has been a great place since it opened in the 1970's as Stewart Anderson's Cattle Company!!!

Waitress was okay. Food not so good. French dip very dry, dip tasteless. We have lived in Anchorage since 1971. We’ve seen restaurants come and go. Cattle Company “used” to be a favorite. Our 36 year old daughter told the waitress that today was my birthday. Waitress said she would need to see my ID. I’m 72 today. Really? Just my husband, our daughter and our 11 year old granddaughter and myself. How embarrassing.
I am giving them a 2 only because of the fact the waitress was so sweet and friendly. She tried very hard to overcome my ire at being seated and forgotten for 20 minutes.
The food has a good variety of food, some nice side dishes, and the staff was very kind. The food, however, may not have been bad, but felt very overpriced for the meal. The price you can expect to pay when you order a dish and a drink is is about 35 dollars. If you want to factor in tip, alternative sides, such as mushrooms, appetizers, and dessert, you can expect to pay upwards of 60 dollars per plate. It was an okay experience, just not for the price paid.
If you don't love a good steak, this place isn't for you. We were treated to a great steak and lobster dinner, our Server deserves more then 15%, Jam is good at what this place is all about. Thank you.
I must say I was very disappointed in the stake I ordered. I ordered the new prime wrangler stake and it was one of the toughest stake I can remember ever eating. But I am giving it a two stars because they brought me out a prime rib that was probably a 6 out of 10 in flavor an a 8 for tenderness.
