Every time my husband and I come to Alaska, we make sure that we spend one evening having dinner at Captain Cook's. The service is the way serving you in a restaurant should be, pleasantly friendly but not intrusive, complete one course before the next one arrives. We never feel rushed or whatever we have ordered how little or a lot it is acceptable. The food... beyond excellent. The flavors just blend to perfection. We have never been disappointed. Treat yourself to an experience that you will not forget.
Great dinner with awesome views! Marco (our server) was very helpful and attentive. Definitely a do-again!
We had a lovely evening. Our servers were friendly and helpful. Could not have been better. The food is excellent and the view wonderful. We will be back.
Had a celebration meal on the last day of our Alaskan cruise and it did not disappoint. Everything from appetizers to the tableside Bananas foster was delicious. We had a corner table with views over Anchorage on 2 sides, although it got foggy pretty early. Waitress was very helpful and informative and helped us choose our food with which we were very happy. It was a great end to a great vacation and would definitely come back if we ever return to Anchorage. Service and hospitality was top notch overall.
The food was good, particularly the black cod and the snap pea salad with Meyer lemon vinaigrette. Patrick was our server and he is tops.
Our experience was exceptional. Many restaurants with such a fabulous view allow the food to fall short. Not this time! The food and service was exceptional. If you are looking for the very best in Anchorage, look no further.
Celebrated our anniversary here and we could tell Ryan was spending more time in conversation with other tables while letting us enjoy our private date. Which we loved! The risotto had an amazing creamy texture. The steak and pork chop were cooked to perfection and seasoned wonderfully. The poached peach pastry was a plate of culinary excellence pairing unique flavors that paired very well together. And to finish us off they wrote ‘Happy Anniversary' in chocolate on a plate with the parting treats!
Last Minute cancellation became ours and wow am I glad - the view is amazing. Food was great and the service was 5 stars
A beautiful restaurant on the top level of Hotel Captain Cook. View was amazing. Staff was wonderful but service was very slow. A very slow pace. Amuse-bouche was carrot/ginger soup and was delicious. We had wished it was offered on the menu. Caesar salads were a good size. Chowder was disappointing....i can't even remember what it was. Ribeye steak dinner was perfect except broccolini slightly undercooked (and I like crunchy veggies!) Ribeye was cooked to perfection. Filet/crab also wonderful. The salmon on the salmon dish was expertly prepared but the side dishes left something to be desired. Just not very interesting to be paired with such an amazing protein. Bananas Foster is always a hit and this one did not disappoint. I'm being nit-picky. It was a wonderful evening!
Absolutely wonderful dinner experience. Dropped $600 including tip, but was so worth it. Local to the area but took a visiting family member to celebrate their birthday. Great service, prompt but not over bearing, never an empty water glass, dishes removed at appropriate times. 10/10 will go back and recommend to family and friends.

Crows Nest is a beautiful location in Alaska with great views of downtown. Classy but you can wear anything to dinner. Food was above the norm. Only slight issue was server was stretched thin with lots of tables to serve. Salads, apps, drinks soooooo good.
We had dinner there as part of our 30th Anniversary celebrations- and it was amazing. The food, the views, the service - all very tasteful.
The food was great and the service and recommendations by our waiter, Marco, was excellent!
Great location, friendly service, and a beautiful view from the window. The food was delicious, though I had some issues. Unfortunately, the fish served was a disappointment. Maybe it just wasn't my day.
In summary, I highly recommend this place; it's worth checking out when visiting Anchorage.

The views here over the water at sunset and also downtown are simply spectacular. The food was excellent, featuring a blend of European dishes and preparations, combined with typical Alaskan meats (king crab, salmon, halibut, cod) and some they clearly had to go beyond Alaska to get (angus beef and foie gras). A good variety of side vegetables are available. They are apparently famous for flaming bananas, but we had some kind of chocolate caramel concoction. While it is an expensive restaurant, it is very much worth it. They also have an extensive wine list. Service is very professional and attentive.
