Delicious food, the roasted duck was cooked perfectly. Large array of drink options ranging from craft cocktails, a multitude of wines and homemade mocktails. The restaurant can get busy later in the evening, so wait times for food can be long. Food was presented well and tasted great. Reasonably priced for the quality of the dishes.

We were recommended a visit to Crush by a local and looked forward to dining there during our one night in Anchorage last Thursday. While we were seated promptly and the drinks were great, our dinner took over an hour to arrive without communication from our server. When we finally asked for our salad first or crackers to tide over our hungry teen (after 55 minutes), we were denied both, told the kitchen was slammed and that they would get our meal out to us asap. Dishes trickled out over 20-25 minutes, meaning we couldn’t eat together. The food was delicious, but the service was disjointed and disappointing.

Despite the server’s apology and mention of possibly comping items, nothing was removed from our bill. When we asked about it thinking she maybe forgot she had said that, first she came back with no, there’s nothing she can do. We told her how disappointing that was under the circumstances, and she said she understood. She then came back again and offered to comp a 3rd dessert - odd, since we didn’t need it and had already paid for two. It felt like a missed opportunity to turn a frustrating experience into a positive one.

The bill was over $200 so choosing not to comp a glass of wine or a dessert that would have cost them $5 or 6 (if even) is just bad business. We had planned to buy a bottle of red to bring back to the hotel room. The tip was cut in half and the $20 they would have made on the wine sale forfeited...all for what exactly? Lost $, this bad review, and no future recommendation from us.

In conclusion, we were confused and disappointed by the lack of hospitality. Would not recommend.

Crush Wine Bistro & Cellar delivered a memorable dining experience with a mix of creativity, flavor, and thoughtful preparation. We started with the oysters, which were absolutely outstanding, fresh, perfectly prepared, and packed with flavor. A great opening act.

The salmon rillette was a creative and intriguing dish, though it could have used a bit more acidity to bring the flavors together, it felt just a touch disjointed. Still, we appreciated the inventiveness.

For mains, both the halibut and salmon were standouts. The roasted halibut was cooked to perfection, moist, tender, and paired beautifully with a miso cream that absolutely stole the show. The Crush salmon was equally impressive, full of flavor and cooked just right.

We finished with the Baked Alaska, which didn’t quite live up to the rest of the meal. It was just okay and didn’t leave a lasting impression.

Overall, though, Crush delivered on quality, execution, and ambiance. It’s a great spot for a well-rounded meal with some standout dishes, especially if you’re a seafood lover. We’ll definitely be back.

It was good, overall. We showed up without a reservation and the manager/hostess/server/busser/Jack-of-all-trades did her best to accommodate us. The restaurant was packed like hell since it was after 6pm in the middle of the tourist season. We sat at the bar, had a couple glasses of wine, prosciutto wrapped dates for the appetizer, then we sat for about 42 minutes for our main course. Like I said, she worked us in. Our seats were next to the chief mixologist's station and the kitchen door. The mixologist was fascinating to watch and everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing. My wife had the clams and pasta; I had the sockeye salmon. The food was colorful and tasty. With the wait? Well, maybe. But, yeah, we'd do Crush again with reservations.

First night in Anchorage. Stumbled upon Crush. Party of two. Our server Tally was pleasant and professional. I ordered a small plate of beef tips and husband ordered whole roasted duck as an entree. We waited over an hour for our food. Beef tips were unremarkable. Duck amounted to one leg and half breast. We asked about the rest of the duck and were told a whole duck is roasted, but only a half duck is served. Really? Where did the other half go?

The place is nice and the staff too. Unfortunately there weren't many vegan options. There was a chance to make a couple of dishes vegetarian but no vegan option on the menu.

Nevertheless the time I spent there was nice and even if they were very busy the staff was nice and helpful.

The dishes looked tasty and elegantly plated some even artistic. They definitely have a proper Chef there.

I'd hope in the future they'll have a couple of vegan options. for what I've seen the chef seems very capable to amaze us all.

I couldn’t help but notice that the floors are filthy. If what customers see is filthy, how dirty is the kitchen I can’t see? The grey floors are black, the entry tiles are dirty and the chairs are dirty. No menu changes will bring back customers one a place gets a reputation as “dirty “.

Amazing service, Zoe was amazing.
Food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, as were the wine options. Pork chop was phenomenal and my friends said the chicken was juicy and the lamb was the best he’s ever had. Highly recommend.

This was our first time trying Crush (for the Vegan Chef Challenge), and it definitely won’t be our last! We went for date night, and it was perfect. Making a reservation online was quick and easy. The ambiance was quiet and relaxed, yet it had that uniquely upscale Alaskan feel. Their cocktail and wine menu offered plenty of excellent options, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I especially loved that the vegan specials were presented as a three-course meal—it made the experience feel even more special. I really hope Crush keeps these items on their menu because I’ll be visiting much more often if they do!

It's easily the best restaurant I've been to in Alaska. Everything from the service to the food was on point. The Halibut with the miso cream was the perfect dish. The fish had an amazing sear with a tender interior, elevated by this beautiful miso cream sauce. A must try and I will 100% return!
