This place is great. The food is the real deal. The atmosphere is fun The manager(Yolanda) is WONDERFUL. She makes the best margarita in Alaska. We met the owner Jose and what a nice person. If you want great mexican food and a great time go to Don Jose's and ask for Yolanda

Make sure they aren't short staffed or there may be issues like what we had. Seated right away, served water, chips and salsa right away as well but then waited around 20 mins to be greeted by our server/waiter. They apologized for the wait and that they only had 2 servers for the while restaurant. This was on a Saturday evening 6-7pm. We didn't receive a side order and they ran out of meat for the Mexican Burger that my son ordered. So he had to wait longer for his...
