Ordered the honey lime chicken tacos. So many other flavor ingredients it masked the honey lime flavor...unless you add lime from the wedge that was included

Everything was delicious! Ordered 2 different tacos, corn, and the El Jefe beer.
Quiet outside area on a Thursday mid-day. It was so nice to enjoy the outside patio with this delicious food

Stopped by for some food after checking in late to the hotel across the street after a long day. Inside is very clean and well lit, chicken burrito was pretty good but what really stood out was the server/hostess. There were a few rude and clearly intoxicated tourists from the lower 48 and she handled them very directly while being completely polite and professional.
To the late night folks looking for alcohol, bring your ID and be nice please.

Burritos were tasty but the portions were on the smaller side. Drinks were generous and low priced! One of very few restaurants in the area that has a nice patio, and it gets evening sunlight.
Wow, we had the torpedo and nachos combo for $22. We ordered our food to go so I tipped 15%. What we got for food was glorified nachos for $26. The torpedoes seemed just like the frozen taquetos we bought when needed a quick meal and were on the go. They were tiny and terrible. The chips were stale. What a rip off. Never again.
This place has a simple menu that sticks to the basics, but does so with excellent quality. I came for a lunch break one day with a few other folks, and everybody was very pleased. The breakfast burrito (with chicken) and regular ground beef burritos were super flavorful, juicy, and satisfying. The salsa verde made mine even better. We waited about 20 minutes for our meals at noon. It's a relatively small place, but there was room to sit at that hour. I'd come back any day.

My friends like El Jefe a whole lot more than I do. I'm just not very impressed. The portions are decent but but nothing tastes particularly fresh. For instance, the chips are from the grocery store, and nothing is ever piping hot. And it always stinks because Ganja Guys are right next door, which kinda ruins whatever ambiance El Jefe might possess. I'm not that hard to please. I love me a hole in the wall taco place, but this one just doesn't do it for me.

Taco were juicy and love the lime chipotle sauce! I would say Cooke the flour tortillas a little on pan with a little oil. Flavor would be much more pronounced and tortilla wouldn’t be raw and chewy like. Also disappointed in price point very spendy for how small tacos are and mild salsa is ridiculous good but 3.50 for a small 4 ounce container!? We bought 6 tacos you’d think you’d at least get one with the tacos or you’d charge reasonably for sauce… please reconsider. I feel we’d be back WAY more often if prices were more reasonable. People will try and like but won’t be back on regular. By regular we’re talking 3-4 times a week. Cuz food IS good

I had great expectations going in the door. There was a great hot sauce bar. We ordered Tacos and grateful for the veteran discount...but the Tacos were cold. There was a persistent Fly buzzing next to us. And ....the chicken taco was terrible in flavor...it may be canned...we did enjoy the decor, the fruit punch Jarritos, and the chips and salsa...so sorry I had to tell the real...when I asked for them to be warmed, our hostess said they didn't have a microwave ..if we could have stomached the flavor, we were to eat it cold...that's just poor service.

Best breakfast burrito i've had in a long time. Can't wait to try more, however the one waitress out front was super green. Very nice, but probably her second day in the food industry overall. Watched her mix up at least three orders in the short time i dined in. She had on those one of those long-sleeve shirts with thumb holes at the ends, and a bunch of rings. This tells me she is NOT washing her hands as often as she should be. Made me feel a little crazy to see her sleeves touch every dish/drink she served. 🤢

In my expedience this place is amazing !
I had a really nice time. The person in the front was really really friendly (I take my time sometimes with menus and she was more than helpful)
Food portions were big and more important and flavor was amazing.
I haven’t been in Mexico at all so I can’t judge authenticity but for what I’ve tried before I really liked the food here. ( first time I see actual meat when I ask for nachos with everything)
I was a little bit scared at the beginning because it is a little bit pricey for just tacos, but when our order was ready it was worth the price!
I read in other reviews that service is slow , but my experience was completely different, service was fast.
Lovely little taco joint with a cozy atmosphere, super fast and friendly service, totally fair prices. Outstanding street corn, and the barbacoa tacos were awesome. Totally coming here again.
