Great downtime-Anchorage dining experience with delicious, Asian-fusion food, cocktails, service, and ambiance. The restaurant offers many gluten-free and vegetarian options on the menu.

Very clean, cute restaurant, with delicious food. As an appetizer we got the pork fried eggrolls, everyone liked them. For dinner I ordered the Kobe cheeseburger add jalepenos (yum) and my parents got the scallops mac n cheese, they said it was the best they’ve ever had. My server had a warm personality and no ones drink got below 1/2 ways before being refilled.

This is my favorite restaurant in anchorage. The bar tenders are great and have a ton of experience and knowledge on drinks. They have a great selection of different alcohols. The food is also very tasty. I’ve enjoyed everything I have ordered. I’m in and out of anchorage for work and this is my go too place. It’s a must to check out.

Please bring back the old appetizer menu! The bulgogi nachos have been a staple and our all time favorite dish from ginger, known for the great appetizers with the amazing drinks. We went back recently to find they discontinued them and added new items. We tried the hawaiian pork sliders and the tacos but they were both meh.

The food was creative and the peach drop was good. I am short 5ft3 and so it was hard to sit at the bar with the high stools and no foot rest. There was nowhere to put my feet they were just dangling so we moved to table but if you are fat thick and voluptuous the small rectangular tables and spacing is uncomfortable and claustrophobic. What i most like is not the food or the drinks but the beautiful male bartender with all his tattoos and the other tall delicious muscular waiters here. I don't know where they found these pretty men but it was challenging to concentrate on anything else but watching them. I was caught off guard by the Magic Mike-esque beauty of these men. I didn't know Alaska had men like this. I wasnt sure if There was going to be a strip show afterwards or a movie made but these men looked like they were made for a calendar or a special. I very much enjoyed seeing the men, especially the bartender. It doesn't even matter about the food

Just got home from a 60th anniversary celebration with 13 family members coming in from out of town. Risking sounding a bit snobby, our party was made up of folks from NYC, LA and Palm Beach, and we were hopeful but not especially optimistic about dinner in Anchorage, AK - not necessarily known as a culinary hotspot.

Man, were we wrong.

Every single one of us was positively blown away by everything at Ginger. From the friendly, warm reception to the expert service, the fun, accommodating team to the slick decor, everything was top notch.

But the food... Oh wow, the food was jaw-droppingly good. Just way above the bar excellent. Original, interesting, eclectic and unique dishes expertly prepared, gorgeous presentation, and just downright delicious.

With wild combinations of flavors I would never have thought of that just melded perfectly together, combinations I've never seen anywhere else, unique takes on familiar dishes, and world class preparation of tried and true standards, nothing that came across our plates was anything but stellar.

The crispy rice and spicy tuna tartare starter was just the right amount of heat and crispness to go with the texture of the very fresh tuna, the sesame ginger Caesar was a really unique and interesting take on an old standard, the general tso's Nashville chicken was possibly the best fried chicken dish I've ever had - chickpea flour breading was an innovative choice that paid off in spades and the addition of Nashville spice to the expected Asian flavors just put it over the top.

But the first course was a soup of the day - a pistachio, ginger, mint puree concoction that just sent everyone over the moon - bowls were being repeatedly passed around the table because no one wanted anyone to get away without trying it... It was the perfect start to set the tone for what ended up being the perfect meal and the perfect evening.

Whatever they are doing back of house at Ginger, they've found a way to make a magical little spot where everything landed right, and I couldn't recommend a visit any higher no matter where or when you are looking for a fantastic dining experience.

Oh - and an expertly designed wine list with very unique selections was just icing on a perfect cake.

5 stars with an A+ topping.

Great food. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was very nice, but not attentive. Mixed drinks were worth trying.

Everything we tried here was delicious and we will 100% be back to try some other menu items. Would definitely recommend trying the matcha creme brûlée!

Absolutely delightful experience! I confessed to the server that this was my first time at Ginger - Time and time again I would look at the menu online, and want to go whenever in Anchorage (from south thereof) and with great enthusiasm, she went out of her way to ensure my company and I enjoyed every bit of it. The food was flavorful, and served in dishes I felt I could push things around in/on without creating a mess. Cloth napkins. Rich red and amber color tones throughout with standout décor pieces created the appearance of an ‘upscale’ atmosphere, however - in a hoodie and work pants, I wasn’t made to feel out of place, and that was highly appreciated! Staff was attuned to customers body language and signals and responded accordingly. Every member of this team that I engaged with made eye contact and smiled sincere. I was offered a dessert menu, and there’s places I’ve dined out at that seem to have given up asking when they see that appetizer AND entree rounds were finished. I ordered the beef curry for an entree and the chicken skewers for an appetizer and 10/10 would recommend both. 10/10 would recommend Ginger - whatever you choose to get! Thanks, team!!!! 💛
