The food and service was excellent, 2 had main courses and 2 had apps with salad. Beautiful presentation and flavorful. Margarita recipe needs work, but lots of other options to choose from. I miss the short rib on cheesy grits! We will be back.
Love this place for our group outing on a Friday. Wonderful service and great food. Will be back.
It was a fun experience me and my wife were able to sit down have conversations catch up and the staff were on top of it as well gave us space so we can just hang out. Food was excellent and it was a fun time.
Meals were well prepared and presented. What a joy to have an excellent meal and not be so full (or still hungry). Still want to go back to try one of the meals served at the other table.
We celebrated my wife's BD with our son and daughter in law - the service and food were top class (and we do a lot of dining out). We have not been there for about a year and it was great to see the experience is still great
I recently visited Ginger in downtown Anchorage, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The highlight of my evening was definitely the bar, thanks to the incredibly hospitable bartender, James. It's rare to find a place that crafts a perfect Dirty Martini, but James absolutely knocked it out of the park. The blue cheese olives were fresh and flavorful, and the drink was balanced and expertly made. The entire staff was attentive and welcoming, making the visit truly memorable. If you're in Anchorage and appreciate top-notch cocktails and great service, you can't miss Ginger. Highly recommend!

Great staff and even better food. I had the wings and egg roll appetizers and the panang curry. Paired it with an old fashion that was delicious. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion since it is on the higher end in regard to price as will as it is best to have a reservation.

The food was great, but the service was spotty, as our server spent a lot of time in another place in the restaurant. The atmosphere was somewhat noisy, but we were seated near what seemed to be a bridal shower. On another night, I feel like it would have been better. A bit pricey, but overall, pretty good.

Ginger is a phenomenal hidden gem of a restaurant in downtown Anchorage. Be warned, they were packed - standing room only in the bar and no tables open when we stopped in. I highly recommend making a reservation. Nevertheless, we dropped in unexpectedly and the manager (owner?) reassured us we could get in if we wanted to wait. It took about 30 minutes, but he kept checking in with us to let us know that folks were wrapping up their meal and it wouldn't be long.
The restaurant is adorable. The decor is modern and eclectic, quirky and creative. The seating was comfortable and intimate. This is a great place for a date or special event.
The staff is so attentive and helpful. They knew that folks were downtown because of the symphony and checked with us to see if we needed to be done by as particular time. (We didn't, but it was nice they checked.)
Our waiter was prompt, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Other staff also waited on us, clearing things away, checking in on us, and providing us with what we needed. They did all this without being intrusive - we managed to have a lovely conversation while we dined.
The food was amazing. First we had craft made ginger ale - so delicious and fresh. Then we had chicken lettuce wraps - the ginger sauce served with these was so delicious I went ahead and licked it from my fingers. She had panang curry beef - so much flavor! I had the general tso'anders fried chicken. Not only was it cleverly named - but it was one of the most tasty things I've ever put in my mouth! Daaaang - writing about it makes me want to go back for more. We capped off the meal with a banana foster cheesecake egg roll with whisky caramel sauce. Are you kidding me! It was spectacular! Everything was served hot and delicious and in good portions.
Go there. Go now!
Parking: Park down the street. The walk is worth it.

Food and service were fantastic! We also got the green tea crème brûlée with a Cortado that was yummy as well. Thanks to James and the chef for a great dinner experience.
Dietary restrictions: The server and chef were fantastic. They were very accommodating for an onion food allergy by recommending specific dishes they could modify for us. Delicious!

A great place for a girls dinner or a date night! All of our food was great, and came out in a timely manner. The cocktails are delicious, and unique. We were able to be seated a few minutes before our reservation, and all of the staff was helpful and friendly. I can't recommend Ginger enough!
We were eating dinner prior to opening night of the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra. The place was very full, and it took quite a while to get our food, so we were almost late to the concert. Our waiter was wonderful, professional, and accommodating. We won't make a reservation again prior to an event at the PAC. I wasn't able to enjoy my dinner as I have in the past.
