There are really only 2 QUALITY donut shops in Anchorage. Very kid friendly. There is a window that you can watch some of the operations going on. My 6 year old wanted to go meet the donut man. They took her to the back, showed her some of the machines and such. Is been an experience she regularly asks to go to the donut shop.

I think the prices are a little steep for a plain Ole donut. Service was quick but seemed like they would rather be elsewhere. No welcoming smile.

Girl with the blue hair was rude tried to order around 7:40 but she seemed like she didn’t want to serve us they need to train the employees better on customer service
I started going to Golden Donuts in my early 20s. Such great memories with friends and girlfriends. Donuts were always huge and tasted great. Now, almost 40 years later, not so much. Granted, nostalgia may have built up how great it was then, but even just a real comparison to other Donuts that are around now - it's just ok. The donuts were fine, but nothing special and the outside of the building was disgusting. It didn't look like the outside of the building had been cleaned or updated at all in the last 40 years. Sometimes you visit places and it brings back fond memories. I hoped that was going to be the case. But when I took my own daughters, none of us thought it was any better the grocery store donuts. Sad.
