Very disappointed in the service. We had planned feeding a group of people with individual plates. Our order was discussed and approved in advance. The manager called back later and said they were going to refuse to fill the order of 30 meals individually, but would only offer to cook a large buffet style otherwise they expected us to cancel the order. This was not what we agreed on and put us in a tough spot to find a new restaurant last minute. Very frustrating

Freaking Delicious. The house fried rice was amazing. Shrimp, pork, and little tiny bits of perfectly fried beef in a house fried rice.
The portions are enormous. We were more than satisfied and we took food home.
We had the combination dinner. Egg roll, Soup, House Fried rice, Sweet-and-sour pork, and Mongolian beef.
We ordered the appetizer platter that came with egg roll, pork, cream cheese rangoon, fried shrimp, and fried pot stickers.
We did not get alcohol or soda. Our total was $83. I tipped $25. Grand Total was $108.00.
This restaurant was busy the entire time we were there. Plenty of people coming and going lots of takeout.

I don't say this about a lot of chinese places. But this is truely some good food! Fresh, great portions, tasty. We sat down and also had very good service! This is now on my list of chinese places I frequent. No idea of how take out is so I will try that next time. But dine in was wonderful!

Order placed today for sweet and sour chicken cashier who took the order argued with husband that he ordered pork. I don’t eat pork. And she kept repeating you said pork I remember you said pork. And the sweet and sour pork was so dried out. Wont be ordering anymore from golden gate for a while. What happened to Golden Gate they used to be really good with orders.😔

The Mongolian beef was amazing, it wasn't that soggy garbage most places have. It w's great!
The sweet n sour chicken was good, and the seasme chicken was good also.
Its another canned soda place though, no fountain or free refills.

My husband and I used to meet herebfor lunch at least once a week when he was working near the area and the food was always good and you got so much it would take me 4 meals to finish it all, now it takes two, and I can't eat more than a ½ to 1 cup of food at a time. Then the menu prices started going up, and the servings got smaller and the fried rice has suffered the most. It used to be delicious with chunks of chicken, scrambled egg, carrots and peas...it was flavorful too. Then the chicken disappeared, then the scrambled egg went bye bye, and then the flavor was gone, we got take out a while back and it was basically white rice with carrots and peas in it! Then my friend came down from Fairbanks and she wanted to meet there for lunch. I told her things had changed since she was last there, but she wanted to go. So what we got was white rice, slightly tinted with a tiny bit of soy sauce, and a few peas in it. Now even the carrots have been forfeited. I don't think I'll go back, it's not worth the cost for a few pieces of sesame beef and sweet n sour chicken, and fried rice that isn't fried rice any longer. I understand times are tight and everyone cut back during the bird flu epidemic when there was a shortage on chicken and eggs, but that started in Dec of 2022, so it's been a minute since there was a shortage on either one, and yes, prices are up, but they keep increasing their menu prices to match those rising costs...put the fried rice, back in the fried rice. If I wanted bland, I'd ask for white rice.

I've been searching for a good hot and sour soup for a long time I've tried everywhere in town there is not even a close second to theirs. Hands down the best I've ever had full of vegetables and ingredients perfect mixture of hot and sour so good kind of expensive but worth it
