Too many restaurants and businesses lately are taking the easy route, have poor customer service, cheap quality, etc. That is NEVER the case with Great Harvest Bread! They have phenomenal customer service and fabulous quality food. You will not be disappointed choosing this as your option for any meal.

Stopped in here for a quick bite and was sooooo impressed by the selection and quality. Didn’t try and of the sandwiches but definitely will be back for one of those! Different specialty breads and treats by the day and you get to choose a slice of o e with purchase of another item . I choose the Asiago rustic and it was delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place

I want to preface this review by saying we love the bread here! However, our last FOUR visits we have left empty handed. We really love the peanut butter chocolate chip bread, but they never have it when they say they do. We've been told "it won't be ready for twenty more minutes," or "not until after 1," and then we come after 1, it's all sold out. It's on the menu a few days a week, but I'm not sure how we ever had it before because it seems impossible to obtain now. Please make more, or possibly allow for customers to order ahead.

Make an online order and wait forever. I watched as more than a dozen people ordered their sandwich at the counter, got it and left. I asked about it, and was told by an employee that online orders are last priority.

$15 for a sandwich that took 30 minutes to make is ridiculous. The teenagers making the product are more concerned about talking to each other and making fun of customers than doing their job. There are lots of great places for lunch in Anchorage. I won't be back here.

Hands down the best breakfast sandwiches in the area. Bread is in a class of its own- highly recommended.

I went in to ask about their bread baskets, and the lady who helped me was very sweet, very knowledgeable, and had answers for all of my questions. I ended up getting exactly what I needed, thank you so much!

Food is perfection itself and the staff are always helpful and friendly...Absolutely a great place. I drive way out of my part of the city just for this business, I don't do this for any other businesses.Parking: Far more parking than necessary and always with availability to park near the store.Kid-friendliness: Feel free to take your kiddos and let them sample a lot of different Breads and cookies.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm disabled and have no trouble getting into the business.

Great Harvest Bread is located in the same plaza as Metro Cooks and Wild Scoops. Since my husband and I had gotten ice cream at Wild Scoops, we decided to check out Great Harvest and am glad we did. Great Harvest Bread smelled so yummy when we first walked in and were greeted by one of the employees behind the counter. We ended up ordering:Blueberry Almond Muffin, $3.25- This is their muffin of the day (on Mon/Wed/Fri). My husband ordered this and I thought the size for the price is actually pretty good. It is pretty cheap but definitely a big size. My husband ended up taking part of back with us to our vacation rental. I didn't have any but my husband liked this muffin. Marionberry Scone, $3.25- I decided to order this scone of the day (on Wed/Sat). The shape of it was rather ugly (lol) but it tasted find to me. It was moist but wasn't very sweet. I thought it was good but probably could have gone well with some honey whipped butter or something like that. I probably wouldn't order this again and would want to try their other flavored scones. Sample of Cinnamon Chip- Wow, the sample size that I was given (right by the register) is very generous. I had asked the employee what was the most popular bread they have, she told me the cinnamon chip and asked if I wanted butter. I said yes and she put on quite a generous smear of butter (which I did also use on my scone). I can see why the cinnamon chip is popular because it is very good and would highly recommend ordering this. -----------------------------(Total= $6.50)Service was fast and the employee who gave me the sample (different employee from the one who took my order), was very friendly. If Great Harvest Bread was near my house, I would be a frequent visitor. I will most likely visit this delicious bakery one more time before I leave Anchorage.

I usually love this place SO much. However, the staff that checks you out isn't getting orders right. I spent around $65 worth on sandwiches, cookies, and scones. The sandwiches were wrong or missing items. The bread we requested was all wrong except for one. The cookies I bought were the wrong ones. When we came in there wasn't a rush or anything inside for there to be lots of mess ups where it's understanding. I'm getting irritated going there anymore. Double check your stuff before you leave. They probably got it wrong.

Second week in a row I have purchased stale bake goods from Great Harvest. This week it was the Salted Carmel Cookies. Hard as rocks. Break your teeth trying to take a bite. Last week it was brownies. So dry they crumbled into small pieces when you picked them up. I have been a customer of Great Harvest for thirty years. Started with them at their downtown Portland location. They need to consider new management.

Great Harvest Bread Company has been one of my husband's favorite places for a very long time, so I was happy to see one in Anchorage. They have the best breads ever.
