My first visit was at the end of summer when I stopped by to check a look before heading Outside after my monthly work stint in Anchorage. I took a sampling of Meads back to Massachusetts where discerning future son in law gave a thumbs up to never more to be duplicated “Love Death+Robots”, a chocolate cherry mead. Now here with son in law’s future wife in late October. We are here for work. It’s cold. No tourists. Sitting here feeling warm inside after a local hike and hot mead. Life is good.

I’ve always considered that my dad has always made the best mead, which sets the bar at a high level, and it’s been a bit of hunt of finding a meadery that meet that high bar. Anchorage has a high concentration of small micro-breweries, on my way to a new one that I haven’t been to before, an open sign catches my eye with a sign for Hive Mind Meadery. A quick u-turn later, I quickly found myself enjoying a mead that reaches that high bar. Traditional Buzz Booster is an amazing classic mead that has that full amazing honey flavor that I love. I quickly followed up with a sampler flight, White Tea Collab, Blueberry Buzz, Lemon Buzz, and Basic Bee. Each one is amazing, I’m super stoked to find this place, It’ll be on my go-to list when I get to Anchorage.
Hive Mind is amazing! Such a fun, unique atmosphere. We were helped by a gentleman who was very knowledgeable and funny. Everything we tried was delicious. Highly recommend going here if you have not tried it yet.

Finally stopped in at The Hive Mind! Got a flight being dealers choice my selections where POG Buzz, Bee Gay, Admiral’s Cask, Tactical Cyser. Across the board the flavors were an adventure for each and to think that they would clash they worked in conjunction together. Out of all my first one finished and surprising to me too was the Admiral’s Cask it is a dry white like mead finishing with French oak flavors. If you haven’t tried a dry mead yet I recommend this one to be your first dry mead. Tristan is an informative and awesome guy, tons of knowledge. Got on the Patreon group on the spot. This WILL NOT be my last time in. Thanks Hive Mind
