Jen's is one of Anchorage's best kept secrets. The food is high end. The service is great and the employees really care to provide a great experience. We had oysters and they were delicious. The filet I had was as a great cut and portion. The cherry-bacon compote on top was spectacular. The deserts really hit a home run for us. The key lime pie, flourless chocolate cake and carrot cake are 3 of my favorites and they were all amazing.

Appetizer: Calamari a la Picatta (Wonderful) Frikadeller med rodkal Dinner: 14oz Rib Eye Steak, medium mashed potatoes, vegetables. Dessert : Carrot Cake Latte The food was exceptional, the steak was cook to perfection, carrot cake moist with cream cheese frosting. Mr. Lonnie our server was delightful, informative and very attentive. Highly Recommend

The food is so bad compared to when Jens and Nancy owned it that I looked at Jen's photo when I walked down the hall and felt the need to tell him he would be appalled! Will not be going again, have gone to that restaurant for over 30 years, had multiple celebrations and parties. It is really bad. Sad, very sad, they need to take his photo down, it is totally not up to his standards or mine. Won't even give it a second chance. Really bad food!

5 weeks road traveling in Alaska eating awful,bad,barely mediocre always overpriced to the point of gauging food in all types of establishments. Jen s was a Much needed breath of fresh air! And all-around great experience! The seasonaly flexible menu was thoughtfully planned and all of our food was executed beautifully. Appropriately well seasoned ,classicly but fresh and relevant. Generous portions of surprisingly tender calamari,perfect raw Alaskan oysters w/ tarragon mignonete,crispy crumbed rock fish fillet on puddle of putanesca like tomato sauce was fresh,flakey nd sturdy enough to stand up to the robust sauce.My companions fresh Halibut was a simple triumph bathed in a caper studded burreblanc.We topped it off with a shared giant slice of excellent house made carrot cake and full bodied espresso. I would be doing a disservice not to mention our server,Taylor a rare gem...she made us feel welcome and was seemed effortlessly at ease with her job and and menu knowledge ! So often on this trip we have been made to feel as if our servers were doing us a huge favor by showing up to work .Anything more on their part would not be forthcoming. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE @JEN'S!!! THANK YOU

Booked Jen's same day for dinner - we took the last time available at 5pm. It was delicious. Creative appetizers & entrees, staff was great, local artists work in the walls (for sale) & very nice wine list. Highly recommend.

Our first time in Alaska with friends. We found this place and what a gem! We had the halibut and rockfish. Appetizer was the calamari. Everything was awesome! They even accommodated my dietary restrictions. Highly recommended for a very nice night out.
