Service felt very rushed and curt. It seemed like they were focused on turning over the table even though there were a number of open tables. Fish was overcooked (both the sablefish and the halibut cheeks). Cocktails were a bright spot. Will likely not return.
As always, the food was great. Our server not so much. Every time he came into the dining area, he would check every table but ours—probably because it was the middle booth in the room. It happened three times and we finally had to flag down another server. Other than that, Kinleys is one of our favorite restaurants in town!
This was the third time we've been to Kinley's and it never disappoints! We had the fried brie (YUM) and the halibut and chips. I still can't believe how crispy and delicious those fries are, and the halibut...it literally melts in your mouth!! I've NEVER had fried halibut THAT good in ANY restaurant in Anchorage (I've had it at Simon and Seafort's, and I'm sorry, but Kinley's hands down beats S&S's!!). You've absolutely got...
