Despite of what others might say due to their experience at Mekong Pho in Anchorage AK. I've been going to this restaurant since it has opened. The staff knows my usual order which ranges between $40-$75 depending if I added any additional meats or noodles to my order. House fried rice with charziu and pork belly is one of my all time favorite dishes here alongside with their #16 BEEF COMBO PHO with extra noodles/meat. Out of all vietnamese/Asian restaurants, MEKONG PHO will always be #1. The atmosphere is what you expect from these American restaurants. So if you haven't tried Mekong Pho yet, make your way to Mountain View in Anchorage AK. God bless and thank you for making your meals affordable. Also the Thai Teas are made with love.
Best green papaya salad in Anchorage. The Curry's are very good, and the pho broth is excellent. It's a train ride from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh.

First Impressions & Doordash Experience.I was feeling more on getting the pork belly for lunch and was excited to try theirs. I will say that I was highly disappointed. They either gave me old stock porkbelly or they overly cooked it to the point that it was really hard and dry. I was basically extreme training my new jawline trying to eat these as hungry as I was. While it is a doordash order, the food quality is the restaurants fault. Therefore, it's not very inviting to try to eat at the place in person. I will thank them for the new chiseled chin.

I wish I could give this place 5 stars because the service is so great but I as I keep coming back, the pho broth gets more and more bland. I can barely mix my bowl of pho without the noodles all ripping apart. The noodles are too soft or overcooked, sadly and makes the noodles too short. The tendon is still very hard and could be cooked longer for that softer, chewy texture too. Although, the pad is very delicious! It's my favorite pad thai in Anchorage. I ordered it extra spicy. Hits every time! I also order the egg rolls every time I come here, and it never disappoints. Perfect amount of filling and so crispy! Love the vibes and music here. The staff is very friendly.
