Moose Tooth is hands down the best pizza place in the state! I was never really a pizza fan, but now that I’m new to Anchorage, I’ve already visited Moose Tooth twice. I might even start going once a month from now on! Their pizza is phenomenal! If you're new to the area, be sure to stop by Moose Tooth, you'll love it!
Best pizza ever and the beer was super good! We live in New Mexico and wish we could just fly up to Anchorage when we’re craving this place. Loved it. Loved every bit of it.
Pizza was alright. Waitress spilled a decent amount of water on me said “party foul” then walked away.
Delicious pizza, cold delicious beer, great service and great vibe!
The GOAT! Pizza is world-class!
Popular place, takes time to get a table.
Atmosphere – 4 stars
Moose’s Tooth is one of the busiest and most popular spots in Anchorage. We visited around 9 p.m. on a Saturday night, assuming it might be slower—but it was still packed. Parking was tough, but we were able to get a table for two. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, with concert posters lining the walls and what appears to be a full bar. It’s a fun, casual place that clearly has a big local following.
Service – 4 stars
Our server, Tab, did a great job. He was friendly, attentive, and handled the busy evening rush like a pro. Our food and drinks came out promptly, and the overall service was smooth and pleasant.
Food – 4 stars
We ordered two small pizzas: the All-American (pepperoni, ground beef, green peppers, and red onions on thin crust) and the Margherita. Both were very good—fresh ingredients and great flavor. Not the best pizza we’ve ever had, but definitely solid and satisfying.
We also had salads—the mixed greens with house vinaigrette (fresh, well-presented, and tasty) and a Caesar salad, which was decent.
We tried the Moose Tooth Draft Root Beer, which was flavorful and a nice alternative to typical fountain drinks. Just be aware—there are no free refills on the draft sodas. You can order them by the pint or a pitcher. Regular Coke products do include refills, though unfortunately, they didn’t have Coke Zero, which was a small downside for me.
Final Thoughts:
If you’re in Anchorage and craving pizza, Moose’s Tooth is a strong choice. It’s a high-energy, well-run spot with good food and solid service. Crowded? Yes. But it’s clearly popular for a reason—and worth the stop if you’re in town.
Best pizza ever. Try Santa's Helper. You won't be disappointed.
Good flavors for toppings and great beer. Needs a better crust.
Pizza is awesome obviously, but don't skip the other menu items, as they have, (for instance), the best mushroom soup I've ever tasted. If they're making it, it's delicious!

Fantastic pizza with a large variety of specialty pizzas on the menu. Thankfully, ordering half one flavor and half another is not a problem. We had a hard time deciding! Our waiter was very accommodating and friendly. Warm and casual atmosphere. We could tell this place is a local favorite.
Best pizza!
Sheila is amazing!
Thank you from West Virginia and Colorado.
We came in for lunch about 1:30 thinking it wouldn’t be busy but was told there would be a 25 min wait. Less than 10 min later our table was ready. We ordered the classic, chicken ranch, and margherita pizzas. Everything was delicious!! I wanted to try something different with the chicken ranch pizza and it was my favorite! Moose’s tooth is definitely an anchorage staple for a reason
It’s worth the wait I promise u!
Our server stephanie was brilliant. Best pizza in anchorage. They have a lovely store front, amazing craft.Soda and really polite customer service. Would highly recommend their euro and mississippi queen pizza.
