Mo's Deli and Catering

Best sandwiches this side of Brooklyn. Seriously. Great service and priced right.

Okay. I heard a lot about this place, and checked it out on weekend. I made the mistake of coming in a few minutes after 4, and they close at 5. All the chairs were on top of the tables, and the guy behind the counter was pretty annoyed at having anyone in the restaurant. He made it pretty clear he didn’t want to be there. I was hesitant to order anything. I went so far as to apologize for coming in at all.

Food was okay. I ate outside on the curb. It might be better on a busier day not getting the bare minimum. It wasn’t terrible, but after some of the hype I’ve heard, not worth it for me to drive across town for a sandwich and employees that hate the customers.

Mo makes the best Deli food. The brisket was so tender and perfectly smoked. I normally order his catering trays and the service and food is always excellent.

The sandwiches are great here. But I ordered a side of latkes and when Mo brought them out, one was a beautiful golden brown and the other two were black. When I complained about them being burned Mo said that that was the way they were supposed to be. If that were true, then the gorgeous golden brown was, by his standards, undercooked. Mo, you can't have it both ways. He did take them off the bill.
