The food was nice and warm, the portions were huge and the taste was good. It wasn't as spicy as in Japan. The atmosphere was ok and the service was good, but nothing special.

If you're looking for a stunningly authentic Japanese restaurant just south of downtown Anchorage with stellar ramen and gyoza and other dishes for as reasonable a set of prices as you can expect these days, you've found it in Naruto.

They make their ramen exactly as it's made in Japan, not Americanized at all. It's fantastic. The gyoza is fresh and rice just right. The tempura is light and excellent.

The service is good and the food came out quickly.

Had the Naruto miso ramen and tuna sushi. The ramen was actually really good - rich broth and perfect noodles. Tuna was fresh and well cut.

Small place with anime posters on the walls which was cool. Cozy atmosphere, not too loud. Staff was nice and responsive.

I can appreciate that they have some of the most reasonable prices in Anchorage. Speedy service, and a nice, casual spot.

The staff was really nice. I am allergic to sea food and couldn’t try the food since they add fish powder to their broth but the people were nice, honest and very helpful.

Listen…when I say this place will feed your anime heart. They had such delicious selections. The folks were super sweet and seating was quick. The person in the kitchen was whipping it up, food came out hot and ready! 👏🏾👏🏾 Not to mention anime playing non-stop. Overall fantastic experience.

Best restaurant to go to by far like ive probably just sunk hundreds of dollars into this place cause i love their food. And it's awesome food for a really good price, which is why me and my friends and I frequent the place. The Naruto ramen is my favorite thing to eat for entrees, and i love the gyoza best in state in my opinion. my only critique is that sometimes I feel rushed, or i want to hang on to a menu, and it gets taken anyway even tho i might still need it. Like one time i communicated id need it later for a to go order and they took it anyway so i just ultimately didnt order but thats not docking on the place in general the younger staff do a really good job going at your pace and accommodating what you ask them. I dont know his name, but the one dude is always polite and a 10/10 employee. Anyway, it's always a good experience, and i always recommend it to anyone who hasn't been because it's amazing
