First time here, we had heard good things. Our experience was drastically different - we basically came in to sit for 30 minutes and receive no service. We were seated at 10:48, hostess was extremely unfriendly and hostile while seating us. By 11:18 we had not been approached by any follow up staff. No waters/coffee/anythingOur group of 4 made the decision to leave, I informed the hostess on our way out and she said nothing….

First time there.I ordered a Modelo but instead got some fruity smoothie, but the waitress probably didn't' hear me due to the horrendously sounding boom box and techno music. Got the crunchy chicken wrap which was presented pretty good (side note, did you think I was going to eat the whole branch of cilantro or pluck the leaves off myself?, flavorless boiled chicken, refried beans? More like refried bean soup, all slapped together with a crunchy chip and flour tortilla. I also didn't know that warm mimosas were "fusion". I'm sure they're making decent enough money to afford better furniture because currently the decor is a retro county jailhouse. 1 crunchy wrap 1 shrimp chilaquiles 1 mimosa 1 fruity smoothie, $54 bucks!? Yeah, no.

Not a very kid friendly place. No kid options for food. All food had some level of spice to it, but tasted good. Prices were a bit outrageous in my opinion. Good place for a brunch with friends, but don’t bring kids. Food and service were slow as well, kids were given their “food” last.. they only ordered the fruit parfait, as that was the only kid option.

Okay, I'd give you this place 10 stars if I could. It's seriously that good. I had freshly pressed juice, Bread pudding, chilaquiles and the BEST cup of coffee. I will now be going once a month to spend as much money as possible on the delicious food and stare up at the decor.

Transcendent. Made my wife and I feel like we were south of the border or at least back in So Co! Food was A-May-Zing…emphasis on the zing. Perfectly seasoned to remind you just how Latin the food is…but Ph. balanced for an Alaskan. Atmosphere was a great balance of artsy and South American sheik. It’s been awhile since a local Anchorage restaurant has blown me away. Well done Palmeira! I would have posted pics of the food…but it was gone before my tastes buds and appetite gave control back over to my cel phone addiction.

Hands down best restaurant in anchorage. Many of the dishes look 5 star plated and taste out of thos world. This family business is amazing! I'm always wary when people "infuse" or go kind of rogue with their menu it often just doesn't work. This is the best exception you will likley ever find.
