We came around 6pm, not too busy restaurant. I like the scampi shrimp with mexican rice. The atmosphere is sooooo mexico with the decoration and the dim yellow lights

We started out at Poncho Villa restaurant. The service was poor and the facility was dirty. After 10 minutes of no drinks, no guacamole, nor order being taken, we left for Hacienda. The service was premier. The food was outstanding. The restaurant was clean. The music was peaceful. Omg, what night and day between the two places. Our stomachs were filled and attitudes revived. So, go there not here. The other place ranks as top 5 best food experience.

We just had a really lousy experience. The hostess greeted and started to take the three of us to sit down only to let us know that there was no table available and othered to split us up so we could sit at 2 little tables which was a ridiculous offer so we let her know we would wait for a larger table. A larger table became available and we were seated. We were given water and chips then ignored except for someone stopping to let us know they might remove part of our table. Eventually a waitress mentioned she would be with us in. A few minutes but that did not happen. I asked the hostess if we could get more chips and guacamole and she said they are busy. Horrible, horrible service, we left.

We've heard about this restaurant on Spenard for years but only just went there for the first time. We were very happy with the service as the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was really great. The portions were perfect. Everyone left satisfied without feeling overstuffed. Definitely worth the money, if you're looking for Mexican food, I highly recommend..
