I have the good fortune of living near a dozen Ethiopian food restaurants for when I get the craving for injera and wat (which is at least a monthly occurrence). I can confidently say that Queen of Sheeba served me the finest Ethiopian meal I've ever tasted. The food is perfectly seasoned and very savory. Our server was attentive and courteous. I recommend everyone in the Anchorage bowl take the time to visit. You won't regret it. The atmosphere is suitable for a fancy date or just to grab lunch. There are veggie options as well as meat. Everything is delicious.

This is an amazing restaurant! We love coming here as a family and sharing the vegetarian platter. We will be back over and over! I wish they used the traditional injera which is gluten free, but I understand it can be hard to get. I would happily pay more for ensuring it's gluten free! We can't wait to come back.

I love this place!! I thought I was leaving good Ethiopian food behind me when I moved home to Alaska, but then discovered Queen of Sheba. They make everything from scratch with spices brought from Ethiopia. It rivals the Ethiopian I used to get in the Bay Area. Their vegan platter is big and has the best flavors!! As of this writing (January 2024), they're getting ready to introduce new vegan items like house-made falafel and hummus. The owners make everyone feel welcome and I love how clean they keep it.Vegetarian options: Their vegan platter is one of the best veg meals in Anchorage. They know what vegan means, they're careful, you can trust their vegan food to actually be vegan.Dietary restrictions: Awesome vegan dishes!! They're also careful to label gluten-free options.

This place used to be fantastic, but they have increased their prices exponentially and have lost all authenticity. Not only that, the “injera” contains no teff flour and the “collards”are half cooked spinach. After years as a patron, I won’t be returning again.

This place is a little known gem in Anchorage. The injira is so good—don’t miss out. The lamb and vegan mixed platter are outstanding. Definitely going back earlier in the day so I can enjoy the espresso!

Right off the bat the restaurant is in a cozy spot and when you walk in it's giving all the feels. It's beautiful and romantic so please go on a date to this restaurant you will not regret it! My husband and I enjoyed every minute of it. We enjoyed a lamb dish and a beef dish both with injera bread. The service is polite and kind and even the chef came out to converse with us and greet us. He even gave us extra lentil to go and recommended we put egg on top in the morning. Don't you dare skip the baklava at the end of your meal and the hot tea was so good, already sweetened to perfection. We look forward to our next visit!

Relaxing warm atmosphere, heaps of food with aromatic and tasty spices! Service was wonderful. Owner/cook visited with me for a bit. Hot tea was delicious. Vegan and vegetarian options. Absolutely worth a try if you're looking for something different.
