Love Ronnie 2 Sushi. It's been 20 years since I visited Anchorage and my bucket list included eating there again.. The sushi was amazing,, and elegant upon presentation. The service was just as great as the food. Everything was served gorgeous and in a timely manner. The prices are fair and I will have to put Ronnie 2 Sushi back on my bucket list one more time

I came here because of the good reviews. I found that the sushi is good . Miso soup here is not good at all. Drinking water taste is like from tap water, not filtered water. The place looks old and not clean. The atmosphere is not fresh especially in the toilet is stinky . Not impressive!

My husband and I met another couple for dinner. The hostess guided us to a booth as soon as we walked in. Our drink order was taken rather quickly, and we received our drinks, salads, and soup fairly quickly. We also received edamame as well.
The soup and salad were all right, but not special. Our server took our order which consisted of 2 rolls each and an appetizer of gyoza. The gyoza were pretty darn good; steamed but then crisped up on the bottom.
We received our rolls in a reasonable amount of time. The server put in one of the rolls incorrectly & just asked if our friend could just eat it. He said yes, and she was relieved and very thankful that he accepted that. However, it’s pretty customary to offer the patron what they asked for unless they refuse, isn’t it?
The rolls weren’t good. They weren’t rotten or anything, but grocery store sushi is better. The size of the rolls is outrageous (I used to make sushi in a restaurant setting, and I get that this is hard, but still). They fell apart upon one bite… and couldn’t fit in our mouths. And I have a big mouth! The softshell crab in the spider roll was waaaaayyy overdone—so fried that it reminded me of the turkey from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Even the most delicious parts were flavorless.
I had another roll that was, yet again, ginormous and oddly flavorless. My husband agreed that the food was disappointing. Our friends did not come close to finishing their food either. We left wishing we’d gone to the Thai place next door.
The service was fine, if odd. The interior is a bit rundown & they had a club playlist going—mmmm, sushi & techno lol. I was very disappointed & will not recommend or return.
