Another fabulous night at the Rustic Goat! The caesar salad was fresh and high quality, the chicken wings were SO good, and the two pizzas we had were perfect. The burger special was huge and delicious, with crispy fries. Wine list has plenty of solid options, and the beer list as well. Local brew Onsite Gurry Slurry Hazy IPA was amazing.

Wonderful experience, however the menu wasn't up to date. My partner is gluten and dairy i tolerant and i was excited to see vegan cheese and gluten free options on their menu. However when we got there they i formed us that they did not have gluten free or dairy free options anymore. I wish i had known that going in, please update the menu. Great service and atmosphere. But the menu lies

I try to stop by this restaurant at least once every time I visit Anchorage. Normally it's awesome and the food is amazing. The service and ambiance was great tonight, but unfortunately the food was off. We got 3 c Espresso Crusted Tenderloins. The meat was cooked well and mash potatoes were fine. Unfortunately, the green beans were so oversalted on both dishes that they were inedible and made the rest of the dish (everything they touched, like the mash) super salty as well. For that price point, I had expected better. The desert was okay, but overpriced. They also need to update their menu, since it still lists deserts (peach cobbler) and drinks (Fanta) that were not available. I hope this was just a one off and that they can maintain the consistent quality they've provided in the past.

Love the Rustic Goat. The only critique I would offer is: why no bread. I had a wonderful ragout with pappardelle, but no bread for a sop. Also no bread for a starter. Do they have something against bread lol? Seriously though, I highly recommend this restaurant.

A fun gathering place in Anchorage. It has a great vibe and not the usual food. We will return and share this location!

We waited for over an hour for our food and all of it was cold. The burgers were way over cooked. The fries cold. We didn’t get the nacho because they “got lost”. When we finally got our checks they charged a 20% gratuity because we had a party. Ok that’s fine. But then we all did the math and were actually charged almost 25% gratuity. Long story short, we won’t be back. It was awful and they’re cheating people intentionally.

The restaurant could use a deep clean. The railing upstairs next to our table was covered with inches of dust and even hair. The food was very overpriced and didn't taste bad but wasn't anything I would go out of my way for. We ordered water as we are not beer or wine drinkers, and was given a pitcher of room temp water. This was our first time there and we won't be going back.

Rustic goat has improved so much over the last couple years. The lead chef, Fraiser is creative; food quality is just great and varied. We really enjoy the thought put into the dishes with spices. It's a busy place. Reservations are really needed. Good beer and wine list. It is ( take your pick) very lively or very loud.

The selection of dishes is inventive and unique. I've never had a dish here I didn't like. From the pizzas to the more adventurous dishes, there's something for everyone. I didn't see a kids menu but it was easy enough to share many of the plates with a child. Lots of natural with the windows, and the open second floor creates a fun balcony. Traditional chairs and tables setup upstairs, while downstairs has some long thin tables great for groups. Bar seating available too.

Parking: There's a tiny bit of parking next to the restaurant but the main parking lit is across the street. The first third of the lot is reserved for electric cars and handicap spots. The rest of the lot feels pretty tight.

Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't bring a group of kids here but taking one or two kids with adults is doable. High chairs are provided. It's a kinda noisy restaurant which helps and a lot of the plates are easy to share which is great for families.

Wheelchair accessibility: There's an elevator to the second floor and tables at accessible hight. Large single room bathrooms.

Went to the Rustic Goat to celebrate my birthday with my family. The atmosphere and staff were good but the food was lacking in almost all of our opinions. Two of us ordered the steak and fries and the steak was flavorless and undercooked. Didn’t send it back because we didn’t want to delay dinner any further since the restaurant was busy. I’m pretty sure we got some kind of slight food poisoning from the steak dish since the two of us that ordered it spent the next two days in the bathroom and had bad stomach aches. The scallop risotto was not good either. The scallops and prosciutto were pretty good but the actual risotto was overcooked. The nachos were good. For the price and food quality, I will not be going back.
