There’s two types of mole and they let you try them before ordering which was so nice. My friend and I got two dishes with each kind and they were both so delicious.
I’ve been searching for the best mole in Anchorage and this is it. Very considerate service too.

If you're hankering for some seriously rich, flavorful, cultured goodness, look no further than Salsa OAXAQUENA! From the salsa bar (don't worry, not spicy) to the mural of Mexico's favorite prez "Andrés Manuel López Obrador", you'll be in Oaxacan heaven! Sit back, relax, and let the flavors and tunes from Oaxaca Mexico take over! 🇲🇽 Those handmade tortillas are forever etched in my memory!💙

Got the mole and tacos oaxaqueñas. 100/10. My family from Mexico and this was the closest food that reminds me of home. Will definitely be back 😊.

****Authentic Mexican food****
Having spent a good deal of time in Mexico, I’m usually disappointed by “Mexican food” in the states. But this place is the real deal. We walked in and were immediately were immediately transported to Mexico. From the music playing, to the Virgen de Guadalupe on the wall and the aroma of homemade tortillas, grilling meat and mole. This place is not just pretending to be Mexican. It was like traveling to Oaxaca without getting on an airplane. We had and order of spicy chicken mole and tacos de carne asada on homemade tortillas. There were multiple types of amazing salsa on the salsa bar. We will be back! Hope you give it a try and support this lovely new business in town. They have only been open for a few months, they are doing a great job.

10000/10 mole was sooo good 😭 it reminded my husband of home and like his family’s cooking. Not overpriced at all for what you get, especially for such good quality food.

This is a must try spot! Really great traditional food that was very fresh. I tried both a green and red salsa and they were fantastic! My favorite was the green. I asked for a little hotter than mild and it was still pretty spicy! Thankyou Salsa Oaxaqueña!
