This is my go to spot for breakfast & lunch in downtown. Love the chill vibes, always greeted with a smile. Classic - no fuss diner, kid friendly & gluten free friendly. Love the wrap around windows. Huge menu, outstanding service, affordable & great portions. 10/10 for us.

Amazing breakfast sandwich, just what I needed after getting into town late and going to bed without dinner. Good coffee and the NICEST people. What more do you need.

The Sandwich Deck is unpretentious and a regular diner atmosphere but has good food and generous portions at reasonable prices. The owner is laconically friendly and helped us translate Kiwi into American prices.

This place is great for breakfast! I had the Alaska Omelet and my husband had the reindeer breakfast sandwich; both were good portions and very tasty! Well made and well plated. Sweet service. Fun vibe atmosphere. We'd eat here again if we're ever back in the area!

Ordering at the counter off a chalkboard in a diner atmosphere was a fun way to start the day. I love a classic breakfast and hot cup of coffee, and my husband got a breakfast burrito. Both were very, very good. We got to sit outside, and even with being outside, staff continued to offer coffee refills.

So why not 5 starts? Two reasons, the first is everywhere in alaska. The price. It was hard to pay ~20$ for 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a cup of coffee. However, the potatoes were some of the best that I've ever had, and I love to brunch!
The second reason is the bathroom sictuation. They do not have a batroom in the restaurant. When you ask they give you directions to go halfway down the block into a door into a small hallway the bathrooms on the left. The staff at the restaurant give you a code for the bathroom door. The number she gave me didn't work, or more likly after trying to recall all the directions I recalled it wrong. Nothing to do with the food (which is damn near perfect) but definitely an odd thing to note.
