it was my last visit to this place. we was greeted and asked if this is a special occasion and we said yes (no further actions, why bother to ask?) food was absolutely disgusting - I ordered black cod with shrimps. Fish was undercooked, broccolini was overcooked and carrots undercooked. Rice has been sitting so long it was dry, crusty like it was cooked previous day. Overall food was so cheap looking and poor quality. Very pricey for such "pretentiously" good restaurant. Shame to your chefs....Place really need uplift with new paint and other repairs.

I was in Alaska for a work conference and our group decided on Simon and Seaforts. We had made advanced reservations for 15 and headed over from our hotel (Captain Cook).Drinks were reasonably priced and the food was moderately priced - especially for portion size. The lower the cost, the larger the meal. I had the Portuguese Seafood Stew for $36. It was tasty but not what I had expected (I wanted something more like Cioppino). It had about 4 each of Muscle, scallops and shrimp in a moderately thin broth with a hunk of grilled sourdough. It was good, just not what I expected. The view however was AMAZING!!!

We visited at an in-between late afternoon time so there is some understanding of a lackluster service and quality. Although if there's no care or effort made to make things right when it's dead, I can only imagine how it would be when things are busy... If they ever really are. Super dated interior is a throwback to late 60's decor: tacky and in need of a refresh. The view was the best part of the experience but they lean into it hard on their prices for otherwise substandard food. Halibut fish and chips were good. Salmon was disappointing. Overcooked and cold. Bummer.

They may still find it hard to get employees, thereby making the wait times a bit longer. We've been here for brunch several times and it's always good. They have more limited menu, so if you're the type of person who demands lots of choices, this isn't your place. We had the French toast recently, and it was quite different than what you think of when you think of French toast.... My son LOVED it, I thought it was good, but I am particular about my French toast.Dinners here are always good though. My last steak was cooked perfectly and the halibut is always spot on.

Food and service were bad. We paid $170 for mediocre food and bad service. We waited 10 minutes to order our drinks. There were 3 tables and 5 staff on our side. It took another 10 minutes for our drinks to come. Our salmon was over cooked and dry. My $50 steak was well done and chewy when I ordered medium rare. I brought this to my servers attention and nothing was done. We ate here on 4/12/24.

The unveiling cocktail for two was pretty lackluster, but the burger and crab-stuffed halibut were enjoyable.

On the day of our elopement we made reservations here at Simon & Seafort and they did not disappoint!! We were finishing up with our photos, so running a bit late, but we were still seated and our table was exquisite! Overlooking the ocean with rose petals on the table!! Just beautiful! Benson was our server and he was so kind, excited for us and our nuptials and made sure we had the experience we were after! We can’t thank you enough Benson for greeting us so warmly, congratulating us and helping us celebrate!! The food was AMAZING!!! Make sure to get the calamari! Best we’ve ever had!!! The wagyu steak was cooked to perfection and the crème brûlée was to die for!! Thank you to all who made our experience at Simon & Seafort so memorable! We can’t wait to come back!!

The food was excellent the service was outstanding. I didn't like the abbreviated menu, I prefer ribeye steak over prime rib. Steak was only offered as a combination with seafood. The key lime pie was delicious as usual.
