Excellent service by Benson and fantastic king salmon and halibut dinners including a wonderful baked Alaska for dessert
Our anniversary dinner was perfect! Your clam chowder was the best we'd ever had and the king crab was really delicious! Benson anticipated our every need and was fun and professional!
Food was excellent and service was attentive. Had the stuffed halibut as well as halibut cheeks. Going again while we are visiting Anchorage.
The atmosphere and ambiance are assets. Our waitress Maria was outstanding and offered a very warm welcome and congratulations on our celebration of 46 years of marital bliss. The food was excellent and prepared exactly to specifications.
Nice atmosphere but was expecting better food preparation. Salmon was dry and the veggies were soggy. Felt a little like a cruise ship meal.
This was our first time to Simon's. It did have great views. When we first sat down our waitress told us they were short staffed so entrees were running 30 minutes plus. That was fine. We ordered both entree and appetizers together. I had a Caesar salad to start which had more of a vinaigrette dressing on it and it was a little too much. I had haddock pan seared with green beans and couscous. It was good but a little dry. Then I had a cherry pie with vanilla ice cream and caramel. It was delicious! Overall it was a nice experience. I would recommend it!
We were seated quite far from the view. We asked to be seated closer to the windows, but they wouldn't accommodate. My wife had halibut and it was excellent. I had halibut cheeks which were very good, but the breading was not as light and crisp as I would like. Overall, service was very good.
Thank you for a wonderful experience. We love the place, delicious food, and the excellent staff.
I took my parents to celebrate a birthday and a 60th wedding anniversary. They had a beautiful setup on the table, outstanding service and food to die for!! Thank you for making these celebrations memorable!!
One of our favourite restaurants in Anchorage. Love sitting at the bar before dinner. The sour dough is amazing. Oysters were good but a little too large for my consumption. My hubby ate them all. Had the halibut fish and chips-delicious. Good wine menu too
Restaurantji Recommends
Try slow service...sent main back. The order was the grilled Halibut but was served a less than 2ounce of fish with vegetables scattered off the side of the plate. It was an embarrassment to any restaurant.
Very disappointed in the salmon. Very expensive and very overdone. Our waiter Sean was awesome.
The meal was great but it was really noisy - you need some noise dampening if you ever remodel
The server was nice. The food was way overlooked. The sides came out when we were finished with the main dish. They kept forgetting the drinks. Unfortunately this is become more the norm at Simon's. Good ambiance and has the Anchorage reputation but the food is really just so so. And not good when grossly over cooked
Dinner took almost two hours. My halibut was soggy. The mashed potatoes were gross. Would not recommend to anyone.
