So I didn’t feel welcomed at all and then the waiter was pretty good but the food was very bad I had the hot Italian sandwich I thought it ment warm but it very shitty spicy and than I subbed it for the Kodiak crab cakes and they were so bad they tasted like the fishyish fish sticks ever they were shit.

Decent food, other than the hash browns. This is the second time I’ve ordered breakfast with their hash browns. They taste like chemically made mashed potatoes, both times. Really funky.

Delicious food and you're lucky if you get Jamin as your server. A little difficult to get in on the weekends

So good we went twice! Delcious breakfast options, quality food and good size portions. Have a cafe for fresh lattes/hot cocas as well. There is almost always a wait to get in, but it’s 100% worth it and you can get on waitlist so definitely plan around it. Service was a little slow, but I found that to be the normal in Alaska. Easy walk from most of the main hotels in the area.

Awesome breakfast, been here several times and never disappoints. Food always tasty and their seasonal menu rotates quite often so there's always something new to try.

I absolutely loved there their cinnamon roll. It was so decadent and ooey and gooey. I even added a little bit of maple after they brought it out to me. And oh my goodness it was so huge. The server, he was super cool and it was nice to learn that he was a biker bicycling to some of the most coolest places. The big booths made me feel at home and cozy and it had a nice family feel yet. It had a really cool hipster feel as well and moving here from San Francisco 4 weeks ago to Anchorage. This is the jam that I was looking for. This was the vibe that I was looking for so that I felt that family yet hipster feel all at once. I can't wait to come back here :)

So sad. Snow City came highly recommended. First off the hostess was non too thrilled to seat us, the server was nice, but really relaxed in getting to us so we could order our food. However the biggest disappointment was the food. I ordered the brisket Benedict, and my husband ordered the crabby omelet. He loved the omelet, but the hash browns were mushy. Unfortunately my brisket was void of any flavor, and tasted old, the whole plate was tasteless. So I didn't eat it. We also ordered the cinnamon roll which was covered in cream cheese frosting, it was good. Maybe it was just an off day, everyone deserves 2nd chances.

My wife and I make a point of making this one of our first stops every time we make a trip to Anchorage. They have first-class espresso drinks (the only place I've seen serve a hot mocha in a pint glass), good vibes, good food, and great service.

The breakfast burrito is my go-to, with a side of OMG bacon. (Worth it. Seriously).

All of their servers have been great, but today we had Monica and she was AMAZING.

Of note: get there early. It's a popular spot (for good reason), and if you're not there within the first hour or two of opening, you'll probably have to wait a few minutes -- even on weekday mornings.

This is a cutely decorated cafe with paper lanterns and stars hanging from the ceiling to distract you from seeing the industrial ceiling that comes with most modern buildings 👍. We checked in with the hostess and were told that there was going to be a 30 minute wait. No biggie, there was stuff to see nearby to keep us busy. We got seated, menus, etc. Was greeted by an extremely friendly guy, and I apologize, I don’t remember his name.(beard and glasses) We ordered the Cluck Norris omelet to share, which is supposed to come with chicken sausage and spinach, onions and cheese. They divided it onto separate plates which is always appreciated. My half of the omelet which was pretty much a scramble with cheese on top, which is fine, had zero spinach and only one piece of sausage. The hash browns were pretty good, not greasy, if you like them, no other choice. The jelly packet they gave us was supposed to be strawberry jam and it was neon pink and had a strange taste. I don’t get all the hype for this place, THE FOOD IS NOT SO GOOD. What ever, we’ll never go back. But they’ll do just fine with all the over hyped up reviews that they are getting from delusional patrons who can’t keep raving about them. The best to Snow City Cafe.
The owner responded to my review stating that they make their own freezer jam which gives it a fresher taste and different color. I have made plenty of jams and jellies in my life and the best way to preserve them is by putting it in jars. Now I understand why they didn’t put any filling in my Cluck Norris “ omelette “ because they spend all their time putting their “homemade “ jam into 1”x 2”” by 1/2” tall plastic containers that have pull back foil tops sealing the jam. Makes sense now. Just like all the other restaurants that get their jam out of a box delivered from Sysco. REALLY.

I was recommended this place while in town. I have found the food in Anchorage to be hit or miss… This was a hit. I came in during a breakfast rush on a Friday. The wait was long, so I scoped out the counter area and when a couple people left, I grabbed a seat. The service was fast. They made me a delicious latte that was served quickly as I mulled over my breakfast choices.

I chose the biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and a side of bacon. Even the orange they used as a garnish was delicious!

The biscuits and gravy were a perfect texture and had a good amount of biscuit to gravy. The hashbrowns and bacon were both excellent. I had left leftovers and heated them up for lunch later in the day and the biscuits were still great!

Loved eating here due to the amazing food. They are pretty busy most of the time so make sure you book like 30 minutes in advance. The staff if pretty nice they’re just busy but the foods makes the wait worth it.
