Amazing service, large portions
Just got take-out, but experience was lovely! Lady at the counter was the sweetest, and the food was wonderful! Great portions, good flavor, no fuss, just a filling, solid lunch. Thank you Sophia’s! :)
The people who work here seemed like family. We had never been in Anchorage before and after eating at Sophia’s and waiting to get into our Air BNB we felt like old friends or family.
Great service all the way around! Food was delicious and the people were great! I’ll definitely go back when in the area.
Food is legit!
Incredible place, made my day special coming in here, the people here have great energies and were very fun and interactive
Go tell your friends about it. We needed lunch our way back to the airport after a vacation. This turned out to be some of the best food and service of our entire trip. The salad bar is impressive and fresh. The sandwiches are cooked to order. And the pizza even better than I thought it was going to be. Our server, Anna, was delightful. She kept us fed and laughing the entire time. Should I ever return to Anchorage, I’ll be stopping in again.
My boyfriend and I went here this afternoon, and Im going to be honest, the best food ive had in anchorage. I ordered the spaghetti and marinara and the portion was MASSIVE and so incredibly delicious. definitely will have leftovers for the next couple of days. Service here was also incredible and so warming/inviting. i would recommend this place to anyone. 11/10 !!!!
What a great little Spenard gem! The servers are superfriendly. (Especially, the baby girl, who scoots around greeting everyone!) The salad bar is probably the best in town! The sandwiches are AMAZING!! (So far, we've tried the Meatball, BLTA, and the Philly.) The pastas are great too! (The Spaghetti Bolognese and the Cajun Fettuccine) We also tried the Greek Chicken dinner, and it was delicious!
Portions are HUGE!
You definitely won't regret trying giving this place a try.
Visiting Anchorage during our Alaska trip I am glad to have found this family restaurant not too far from our hotel.
The salad bar was fresh and had quality ingredients. The sandwiches were delicious.
It’s a small restaurant with few seats but totally worth it. Has a cozy atmosphere and is managed by the family who owns it.
Great experience, absolutely recommend.

My wife, a lifelong salad eater, advised that it was the best salad bar ever. Fresh ingredients and large variety. I only dabble in salad eating myself but I did partake on this occasion. It was pretty Damn good.
Sophia's won't disappoint! Forget the fancy, chain restaurants or mediocre restaurants. Sophia's is a small, down to earth restaurant with incredibly delicious homemade food and personal service. The salad bar is Very Fresh and Yummy and the food portions are more than generous. Great value for the money. This is the owner's second year out and he is knocking it out of the park.
I'm already sad about when Sofia's gets too busy to easily pop in for lunch. SO GOOD. Thank you for a fantastic experience - the salad bar was all it's cracked up to be, and the service could not have been better.
Absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend if you’re in Anchorage.
It was my first time eating here and I was BEYOND impressed!!!!!!! The amount of food was great, but the taste was sooooo much better.
