Delicious and amazing service!

Great food and the service was too notch. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a great atmosphere and food. Beer and vino only and a small waiting area but aside from that it's a very nice establishment. I will be a repeat customer for sure

The food was VERY good. It wasn’t designer, fine dining good, but it was very good nonetheless. Service was highly attentive and fake-friendly, as any good restaurant should have it and they even went a bit out of their way on my drink order. Reasonable prices for a very good value. What was missing? Well, hmmmmm. The ambiance. The furniture, although well maintained, is getting a little old. It’s cozy. It’s warm but…,yeah, place needs a little facelift. I’ll definitely return though.

10/10 dine in service. Sorrento's has hands down the best pizza I've had in Anchorage so far. They cook their steak to perfection, and I can not recommend them enough.

A wonderful evening and experience.
The food was exceptional and only rivaled by the service our server Debbie provided.

2 years ago I gave a pretty bad review of this place. I could see by the recent ones that there must have been a turn around -- so I tried ordering a pizza last eve. Oh man -- one of the best pizzas I have had in a very long time. A Pete's Special with extra sauce and anchovies (yeah that's right) on thin crust. WAY TO GO SORRENTOS! We'll be coming in soon to have some eggplant -- I truly hope it's on par with the pizza...

I finally made it in for dinner after years of hearing how good the food was. We ordered Angel Hair Basil Bolognese and Spaghetti Napolitana.

The Spaghetti Napolitana was just good, not great.

The Angel Hair Basil Bolognese was all together something else. I have had plenty of Bolognese over the years and this was nothing like any of them. Nothing in the dish seemed to go together; the sauce was thin and watery and it left a clear oily puddle that drowned the pasta. If there were tomatoes in the sauce they played a very minor role. The bell peppers had the texture of sauteed frozen peppers and seemed to be tossed in at the end and not part of the stewed sauce. Similar story for the sliced mushrooms that seemed out of place and not fresh or stewed like a traditional Bolognese. Did I mention the basil? Yeah, I didn't notice any of it in my dish, either.

The garlic bread was disappointing as well. It reminded me of prepacked garlic bread from the grocery store. A cheap loaf of bread, buttered and lightly toasted then sprinkled with the Kraft Parmesan on top. It seemed very out of place in an Italian restaurant.

Based just on my experience with the Angel Hair Basil Bolognese I don't think I'd return. The fact that the service was good and the Spaghetti Napolitana was decent, I may give them another go at some point, but I'll probably stick to the "American Italian" dishes like lasagna or Fettuccine Alfredo, which are not my first choices when I go out for an Italian meal.

I recently revisited here with friends, an absolute gem of a restaurant. Our server was attentive and genuine, we chatted about the Sorrento's remodels over the years, she's seen it all!

We had the stuffed mushrooms and Zucchini Fritti for apps; both perfectly flavorful and well-seasoned, the zucchini crisp and fresh-tasting.

My Chicken Marsala was cooked to perfection, the chicken tender and moist, the sauce savory and rich. My friends' Chicken Parmigiana and Scampi de la Casa were excellent as well. The garlic bread: soft, fluffy, perfectly seasoned with a gentle chew that we couldn't stop eating. Every bite of every dish was a delight.

Sorrento's has truly mastered the art of Italian cuisine, highly recommended for anyone wanting a satisfying meal and experience!
