Always a delight here. The bistro side is pleasant and, unlike other restaurants that have been around a while, doesn't show it's age. It's clean and well kept. We've been going here for years - mostly for the blue cheese custard.

As is their food not only good it is very consistent. My wife had the rack of Lamb and I had a couple of appetizers. She quoted “I love how the food here is always consistent and very good”. The calamari appetizer was just how I remembered, great flakey batter and fresh garlic. The blue cheese custard with roasted garlic was fantastic too. Great job South Side Bistro!!!!

New york strip was good, I quite enjoyed the steak sauce but it was a little more medium than medium rare. Burger with fries were good, the special last night- Swedish meatballs were tasty. The appetizer scallops and risotto was quite small but did taste good. We quite enjoy coming here and will be back.

Southside Bistro is a very comfortable restaurant with excellent food and service. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We especially enjoyed the fact that the music is at a low enough level to allow us to talk without shouting. The music selection is soothing as well. Some restaurants blast their choice of music so that everyone has to raise their voices and it winds up being an exhuasting experience. This was the first time we've been to SB in years and this visit made us wonder why. We will be back soon.

Every time that I have eaten at Southside Bistro the experience has been wonderful. I have never had anything that was not perfectly prepared - both visually and delicious. The atmosphere is perfect for a wonderful meal, and quiet enough for conversations to be had with each other as well.

Let’s just say, I’m extremely impressed! Our server was amazing! She managed the table amazing, treated us so well! She had great recommendations! Probably the best service I have received in a long time at a restaurant!
Now the food. Equally as amazing. The filet was perfectly cooked to medium rare. So flavorful and delicious. The mash potatoes and veggies were both cooked great! Absolutely finished the entire plate. The cobbler was so good and paired amazing with the ice cream! We also got the pasta and it was super super delicious, just a smaller portion than expected, but I would still order it again!
I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for semi fine dining!

We arrived just as they opened for the evening and were seated immediately. Servers were professional, polite, and had good insight into menu options. We ordered the truffle fries which were a delicious appetizer, then a skirt steak and veal medallions for our dinners. Neither dish disappointed, and everything on the plates was delicious. The lingonberry sauce on the veal was particularly noteworthy and brought together the flavors in a way that I don't usually find in a fruit/meat dish. All in it was a very nice place to go have our anniversary dinner while so far from home, and we will most certainly be going back to try more menu items.
