SteamDot Benson Coffee Bar

My issue isn’t with the coffee or the morning crew, both are great. The afternoon closing crew is where I have had issues. Twice I have come in 1 hour before closing and the pour over bar is already shutdown and cleaned up. This last time I asked for drip and they said they were already out. They then said they could do an Americano or espresso. So I finally said I would do an Americano of a particular coffee. They then said all they had were 2 different beans for Americanos. This is completely unacceptable for a coffee shop to be down to 2 options 1 hour before closing. IDK if this is a store policy or the closing crew trying to get out early. Please fix this problem. You have a great product and the morning crews are professional and very nice.

I left a review 4 months ago with 5 stars saying this cafe had Excellent service and Lattes. I returned today and was very disappointed - the staff were indifferent, the Latte took 15 minutes to receive after ordering even though there were only 2 orders in front of mine and the Latte was one of the worst ones i've had. I will be going to one of the many other cafes in Anchorage and I won't be returning.

this place is chill and the coffee's great

I love how they still serve oit of mugs if you tell them you are not taking your coffee to go! They also have one of the best London Fog's in Anchorage in my opinion.

Their fire weed cold brew iced coffee is absolutely Amazing. coming all the way from Boston Massachusetts. big shout to steam dot. love this cold brew without a doubt

This cafe has a beautiful bar that hides coffee stains and a smooth tasting coffee bean.

Really cute spot! Stopped here quickly after lunch across the way at Burgerfi to grab a mocha before heading to the airport to head home from our Alaska vacation and so glad I did!

The guy who helped me out at the counter was so friendly! I wanted to grab a bag of beans for my fiancee who's a coffee buff and he was happy to explain the different blends to me (despite my lack of knowledge). Ended up going with one he said had a more unique flavor profile and now that we've had the chance to brew it I can say it's super tasty! I even got my small drink for free with the bag purchase (normally they'll give you a drip coffee or Americano for free with the purchase apparently)

Would definitely stop again if we end back up in the area!
