Really cute spot! Stopped here quickly after lunch across the way at Burgerfi to grab a mocha before heading to the airport to head home from our Alaska vacation and so glad I did!

The guy who helped me out at the counter was so friendly! I wanted to grab a bag of beans for my fiancee who's a coffee buff and he was happy to explain the different blends to me (despite my lack of knowledge). Ended up going with one he said had a more unique flavor profile and now that we've had the chance to brew it I can say it's super tasty! I even got my small drink for free with the bag purchase (normally they'll give you a drip coffee or Americano for free with the purchase apparently)

Would definitely stop again if we end back up in the area!

Pretty good lattes but they have raised prices again. I asked employees if they got raises with the increase, they did not.

This is our absolute go to coffee place! The coffee is literally the best in Alaska in my opinion. The vibes are cool and the staff is always friendly.

I usually judge coffee spots by how well they do the basics, and SteamDot certainly passes the bar on those. What I like best about this spot are the pour over options. They have special roasts that you can order to be prepared by pour over, either with a Chemex or a V60. I’ve tried 2 types in both methods, got to watch the barista brew the coffee, and was not disappointed with the technique nor the final cup. I felt that the flavor notes listed for the roasts were spot in as well, and it was a fun experience to try to pick them out as I drank my coffee.

I don't know what it is about this particular location. The one off in south anchorage is far better coffee. This places drinks are astonishingly mid tier.
