At one point was my favorite location. How I avoid it as the service and standards have dropped drastically. Management do better

The mixed guy with the tattoos that has pretty eyes and wears a durag is the embodiment of customer service! All the employees here need to mirror this guy seriously. Best service in a long time! Every time I come to this location I get some sort of attitude from the chubby white kid that wears the glasses and AirPods. I literally watched him touch money then put on gloves, he makes me want to avoid this place altogether. I’m tired of getting scoffed at and feeling like a burden. I will only be ordering if that young man makes me food he’s polite and respectful 10/10 service from him

This location has some of the most terrible workers. The white guy that wears a bandana and hat needs a real attitude check. Don't even know how he stays employed with the way he acts towards customers. Ive never had a good experience with anyone that's worked there and after my last experience, I will jot be returning and I will be telling anyone I come across that likes subway to avoid this location. Do better

came in to order food an hour ago to see two unpleasant workers behind the counter. these two workers were very passive agressive, mumbled and swore at us under their breath a few times that i noticed. i did NOT enjoy my time there and will not come back to this location, as my mood was ruined for the rest of the day. awful service from these two workers and i would like to see action take place immediately.

I have never wrote a review before but this interaction was enough for me. Went with a couple friends a little after 8pm, there was a chubby white guy with a skinnier native guy working. I noticed a little rudeness towards myself but I especially noticed it with one of my friends, which was seemingly unprovoked. We walked in, looked at the menu for a bit, ordered our food, and left. We were treated terribly for no reason.

large white guy with acne and skinnier native guy scheduled around 8pm on sunday, may 18, 2025, was the worst two people i have ever encountered in service. passive agressive to me and my friends and raised voices at us when i asked questions. i usually never care about service like this, but will come by to talk to manager later to talk about these two guys. would pay to fire these guys. food was good though.

Jewell lake is the worst subway in Alaska.
RUDE employees, orders ALWAYS made incorrect. Will never be returning. Save yourself and go to another subway in town.

This morning I drove by Subway and it said that the drive-thru was open. The light on that sign was on so I went to the drive-thru. As I'm ordering my sandwich someone got on the intercom and said they were closed. She was very grumpy voiced like she hadn't woken up yet so I suggest you get better customer service skills. And if you guys are closed turn off all your signs!

Great Potential, Needs Strong Leadership and Better Attention to Detail
I recently visited this Subway location, and while the food still held some promise, the experience left me feeling that there’s a lot of room for improvement, particularly in terms of leadership and attention to detail.
The sandwich itself had the right ingredients, with fresh vegetables and soft bread. However, the execution was disappointing. The sandwich was sloppy—ingredients were unevenly distributed, and the bread was overloaded with sauce, making it soggy and difficult to eat. It’s clear that the quality of the food could be much better with a little more care in the preparation process.
What this Subway really needs is stronger leadership. The staff appeared friendly, but there was a noticeable lack of organization and attention to detail in how the sandwiches were assembled. A more experienced manager or team leader could help ensure consistency, improve sandwich presentation, and streamline operations.
Despite the issues, I still see potential here. With better oversight and a little more focus on quality control, this could easily be a top-tier Subway location. I’m hoping to see some improvements on my next visit, as the food itself has all the right ingredients—it just needs a little more care in the preparation.

This place’s customer service has gone downhill! No welcome to subway!!! I stood there waiting to order. I Walked in one girl was busy with an order the other girl just looked at me and went in the back about 15 min a male comes out looked at me with a look like I was a problem? Sanitized his hands for about 2 minutes ( which is good) took his time putting on the plastic gloves with that look it was beneath him to even help me!! I walked out! Went to the subway off old Seward. I thought subway was a place to get a sandwich!!! Boy was I wrong at that jewel lake location. I hope the local owner who owns it reads this well. This was today 8/1/24 at 1:15 in the afternoon.

Placed a pickup order for a hot sandwich with a combo. The sandwich wasn’t even warmed up (literally cold, like out of the refrigerator) and they didn’t give me my chips or my drink that I paid for. Avoid this place like the plague. If they can’t read the order off the screen, what else are they messing up behind the scenes? With the insane prices they’re charging now ($20 for a combo footlong) this shouldn’t be happening.

I can never go here again. The girl with black hair did not have her hair up in a bun or pulled back with hair net. Her hair was hanging all over her shoulders and face. Also if it was my employee I would ask her to wear long sleeve blouse.
