I’ve been craving a bento box for a couple weeks now did some research of different restaurants in Anchorage and found this place. I went in to check it out and look at their menu. First off one of the cleanest places I’ve seen, very nice and helpful staff especially with placing a to go order. Omg the portion sizes for a Mongolian beef bento box was enough to feed two people and reasonably priced. Definitely my go to bento box place.

Found Sushi Motto. When we arrived we were greeted and seated. Our oldest was having a hard time deciding on what he wanted because it's a new place. One of the ladies came to our table and helped him with his decision. She was amazing with helping him. Made it a calm and easy choice. All of our meals were exceptional. King fu panda. Lion king. Surf and turf. California roll. Crunch roll. And shrimp fried rice.
The sushi rolls held together very well, no falling apart. And to top it off. The same lady came by and gave us of desert options. We chose fried Oreos. By far the BEST fried Oreos we have ever had. Now that being said. What a great first impression. The prices were very reasonable. All the staff were friendly and courteous. What a fun atmosphere. We have paid more at other places and they add automatic gratuity because we are a family of five. Which I find unprofessional. We will definitely be back. Next on the list. Shabu Shabu.

We went last night and had the omakase experience. We sat at the sushi bar. The service was really good and we really enjoyed their suggestions. We also had the octopus appetizer and it was fantastic. I’m really looking forward to coming back.

This is one of the best sushi restaurant in Anchorage. We had the crispy rice roll, good flavor and the family boat. It was pretty good the price is a bit on the high price. The service was spot on.

Sushi wasn't that great, nor the hamachi and boiling saki. We ordered 3 rolls and only got 2. The reason for my rating. However, I would give this place another try, but their sushi isn't for me. I would like to try their dinner specials next time v

I've been here many times, and many times back when the same owners were running Kumagoro. Their food is always quality and fresh, and the staff is warm and welcoming. Very clean. Highly recommend!

The pot stickers/gyoza we're almost cold as was the miso soup. On the bright side the sushi was good. Service was very slow even though there was hardly anyone in there.

If inner beauty is a thing, It would be this restaurant. Its a hidden 5 restaurant. Sushi motto is elegant, the staff is nice and patient. I had a great time. It was like being in a upscale japanese restaurant in japan.

Searched for a great Sushi place in Anchorage and came up with Sushi Motto. We were not disappointed! Food was excellent. I ordered a Bento Box, wife ordered Tuna Poki, and son ordered Ramen. All were top notch. We also split a “Mr. Choice” roll, which was excellent. All food was fresh, tasty, and great quality. Plus, the whole experience was affordable - < $100 for 3 entrees, an extra roll, drinks, and two desserts. The fried Oreos were excellent! Highly recommend this spot.
