Its good
I ordered their enchiladas. I wasn’t impressed. You could taste the corn tortilla like it wasn’t even cooked. Like they just wrapped it up in corn tortilla, threw some meat inside and then slap some taco sauce and seasoning on it and called it enchiladas. It’s more like soft tacos, wrap like a burrito. You can tell it wasn’t baked in the oven. It was softer than a soft taco 🌮 actually is. I ate it because I was hungry. If I wasn’t hungry, I probably would’ve thrown it away. Wouldn’t recommend Taco King if you are craving or looking for authentic Mexicana food.

We felt un-welcomed by the 1 cook who couldn't speak English as soon as we were ordering our food. We aid to eat there and I noticed the cook started making our food and barely put and meat on our plates and it tasted old. The tables we all dirty and the salsa bar was on the counter, not covered. We left still hungry and made burritos at home. This place was our go to, but time to find another mexican spot. Smh

It's 9pm, do you want Taco Bell and wait and that 10 min line... Heck no. Roll up to Taco King, order a Carne Asada Chimiconga and it is done 4 mins later. Way better foof at a quicker speed. Legit go weekly now.

Didn't seem like a popular diner in place but the food was good and i'd definitely go again now that Burrito King is sadly closed.

It really comes down to which Taco King, and if you are eating there or eating out. I tend to enjoy some taco king but the last few times i have gotten to go from Norther Lights it is dissheartening. If you take out your portion is definititly smaller, toppings are slim.
My most and probably last purchase from NL TK was a Chile Verde delux burrito with rice n beans, with a 15% tip it was 19 something...if only i had taken a picture of what a 19 dollar burrito looks like, small, filled with heardly any meat, just....beans. beans beans. side of beans,...not much of it, side of rice....not much of it, maybe 1/4 cup. topped with an ok green enchilada sauce, sour cream squirt, solid....maybe 3 little shards of lettuce. The chile verde meat that was around, it was just their generic pork with no sauce.
Oh also their birria isnt birria so dont expect to be wowed.
Now....taco king up in government hill, they know how to make a solid delux burrito.
Other tactic, if you want to spend 19 bucks on a burrito get it there and then get a ToGo box.
so, its really hit or miss if its gonna be good.
