Food poisoned at the Boniface Taco King March 10th, 2025. I think the open sauces haven't been changed in a while, or the shrimp was bad in my burrito. I threw up multiple times throughout the night into the next morning. Laid in bed all day March 11th I haven't eaten in 24hrs. It's now March 12th, and I'm still on fluids only. This is the first time this has happened to me at one of your locations. I've eaten at other Taco King's and your food is really good, but this past experience...read full review

Taco King offers the best Mexican food in town, with authentic flavors and excellent seasonings. The staff consistently delivers perfect meals, making each visit enjoyable. The chain is a more authentic version of Taco Bell, serving quick, easy, and delicious dishes. Customer favorites include the horchata and generous portions. While the desserts are average, the veggie burrito and churros are highly recommended. However, some menu items like the Tostaditas w/chicken and guacamole have fallen short on quality, possibly due to old oil and pre-prepared ingredients. There was a recent incident where a customer experienced food poisoning, possibly from the open sauces or bad shrimp in a burrito, which led to a severe illness. Despite this, the Carne Asada was flavorful, and the overall experience remains positive for many. The restaurant is a good place to get a quick meal, especially for takeout, although the dine-in atmosphere may not appeal to everyone due to some unpleasant smells coming from the back of the kitchen. Overall, Taco King is worth another visit for its tasty offerings, but improvements in food preparation and hygiene are needed to ensure a safe and satisfying dining experience.
