I had heard about the Taste of India from a friend. While driving from the airport to the hotel on Arctic and International, I was in the mood for some lamb tiki masala. They just about to close the door when I was invited in. The owner of the place talked to me while the creamy dish was being prepared! The conversation was good but one bite into the creamy lamb dish I was transported with the heavenly scent and taste to the far East! Great food and a great restaurant.

Love, Love, Love Taste of India! I was very pleased with the atmosphere, food and customer service. We ordered — Tandoori Mixed Grill, Chicken Bhuna and Chicken Tikka Masala. The food was very flavorful and filling. I highly recommend the Chicken Bhuna (medium spice) the spices helped clear my sinuses and was so soooo good! The Tikka Masala (medium) was also good, but I felt like it was more mild than medium heat but still very good. Looks like i’ll have to order a spice level up! I really loved that they are generous with their portions. We’ve been to a couple other Indian style restaurants and they always give us more curry than actual meat.Overall, the experience was pleasant, customer service was nice and I think the Tandoori Shrimp is on my dishes to try next time I’m here :)

The best butter Chicken and Tandori I’ve had in anchorage by far. The Nann is outstanding. I had the fish tikia sooo good, everything here is superb. This is my go to spot.

I've eaten a ton of Indian food - my partner is Indian, spent lots of time in Indian and have eaten at A LOT of Indian restaurants here in the US. This is by far the worst Indian restaurant I have ever eaten at - poor service, terrible masalas, canned fruit in the korma... also $5 for raita to go with the Briyani - tomatoes in raita!!! Just terrible. Do not spend your time, money, or calories here.

I had the butter chicken and lamb biriyani. I compared Bombay Deluxe to Taste of India. Taste of India was leagues better and wasn’t even a contest. The food was pretty much crack to me, I couldn’t stop eating it. Just overall really good food top tier in Alaska that I’ve experienced.

My husband and I went at least once or twice per month. This is still my favorite restaurant ever. I moved away and have been craving their food so much. We tried so many different things and everything was incredible but some must try items are their vegetable samosas and butter chicken with Naan! I can't wait to visit Alaska because this is the first place I'll be going to.

I haven't been here in a while and I'm so disappointed in myself for that because it is so good! Me and my boyfriend really wanted Indian but didn't feel like driving to the place he likes and this is closer to home. It is so amazing, the spice level was perfect, it's so filling, and the portion sizes are amazing for the price. So the best part is I have leftovers for work tomorrow! I was torn between the lamb tikka masala or butter chicken, but decided since I always grab butter chicken from a place near my work to go with the tikka masala. The lamb chunks were big but it was so tender you could break it apart with your fork. My boyfriend got the lamb bhuna and I'll admit I was stealing bites when he wasn't looking! We'll definitely be ordering from here again.

Saag paneer is my go to, and sadly it looked and tasted like it came from a can at this place. Our spice choices were also disregarded. Overall, wouldn't really go back.
