Great old time soft serve and dinner food. Locally owned and staffed by teens who do a great job. Big servings of great, greasy, hot food--very good french fries. The sundaes are sublime. Nice place, just like old days.

Went in for corn fritters. Only get 4 for $7. The honey butter had no butter. Terrible value, terrible honey butter, decent fritters, and a rip off. Go to lucky wishbone if you’re craving GOOD corn fritters and value.

Pretty garbage place overall. Waited awhile to place order, the card reader was all wack, and had to wait about 20 minute to get our order. The food was pretty trash and expensive for whatever reason. They didn't even get our order right, sundae was pretty low quality and they played lame classic rock and extremely outdated interior. Smelled like old grease inside. Probably wouldn't reccomend a single person to this place

We traveled all the way from Dallas, GA and went to Tastee Freez. This restaurant was talked about all week while we help improve the looked and roof of The Crossing at Sandlake Church in Anchorage. When we finally had time to go, it did not disappoint!
If you are looking for a fast food chain that has been around for a very long time, but where this franchise location feels more like a local diner that has good food, including tasty burgers and sandwiches and fries like curly and tots, and this one also has a huge array of ice cream presentations, including malts and shakes and freezees, all of it at a somewhat elevated price, then you have found it at Tastee Freez on Jewel Lake in Anchorage, Alaska.
The ice cream is very high quality and the burgers are made very well, and the fries are excellent.
This staff is cheerful and mostly competent. The prices, as with everywhere, are too high.
