Going through all this review on here makes me change my mind if I should go here to get meat for our fundraiser for the 6th of July. Nothing on all this customer complaints sees a member of Teddy Meat reply with an apology.

Make sure you have cash on you. They don't accept card or electronic payments. I drove all ways there and I couldn't buy anything because I didn't have cash.

I work for a catering company on the North Slope and we were using meats from Teddys because it was very cheap and cost effective relative to other meat purveyors and big box stores. However, with low price you sacrifice quality. The ground beef they sell is some of the worst I have ever had in my life and the pork chops dry out extremely fast. The korean style shortribs they would send up would be mostly fat and bone. There are many other issues I have with Teddy's but i'll leave it at this: This is a second rate meat shop. I am sure the owners are nice people but the quality of products they sell is so far below what I would serve to my family or clientele I struggle to understand how they stay in business. Thankfully I was able to persuade my catering company to switch to a professional purveyor like US Foods and the quality of meats are in line with what I expect.

The hamburger meat here. Is by far the best hamburger meat in anchorage. I will no longer go anywhere else to by my hamburger meat.

I enjoy the scallops and shrimp so much. Other days I am enjoying hamburgers. Everything is fresh.

I am writing this review on behalf of my 61 year old immigrant mother who recently had an upsetting and disappointing experience at Teddy’s Tasty Meats. She purchased a 10lb box of short ribs which at first glance appeared to be of great quality when inspected upon pickup. Later, when she got home she discovered that over 50% of the box were just bones. They were hidden beneath. We reached out to management as we thought this must’ve been an oversight as who in their right mind would knowingly sell a box half full of bones to a customer. Surprisingly, the owner or VP, (I’m not sure exactly) Steven Kouris responded saying it was a supplier issue and will not take responsibility. As a 35 year Alaskan resident and long time customer of Teddys Tasty Meats, my mother is saddened and upset that Steven would knowingly and willingly sell her a box of 50% bones and charge full price and not have the decency to make it right afterwards. Anchorage is a small community, that’s not how we treat each other. She feels cheated and will no longer be doing business with Teddys, not because we were sold bones, but because of Steven’s lack of decency.

I love their products. My issue was with the prices. They just seemed to magically go up the very next day I came to buy boneless chicken. First The was $55 then $65 and then $76. I'm afraid if I go to often it'll cost me my arm or leg.

Horrible meat!We bought some Korean ribs and more than 50% of the amount given was all fat!They gave us a box, and we didn't know the quality of the meat would be this bad until we opened the box at home.The amount of ribs was very small, and not worth the price.I am very disappointed despite the good rumors I've heard of this place.
The ladies were very helpful and answered all my questions.

The delivery service is wonderful, which is why I hate to give Teddy’s a lower review. But the real problem is when we call in an order.Perhaps it’s the loud background noise that prevents the phone representative from hearing the order correctly. But that doesn’t give the representative the right to be condescending when asking a customer to clarify an item. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that does not excuse the patronizing tone she used.
