Gluten free amazingness... This place rocked and had some of the most delicious food we've had in Alaska.

Served my 80 year old mother the wrong dish and it was disgustingly bad.

Best beer selection in Anchorage… maybe even Alaska altogether. Chowder is exceptional (I’m east coast and this slaps) Poutine duck fat fries?!? Yes please. They are very welcoming and willing to let us try a taste of things before committing. As far as I’m concerned it’s the first place I’ll come every time I’m in Alaska.

Food was not very good. And atmosphere wasn’t any thing special, setting was poor. Seemed over priced but probably was inline for area but when quality is poor it’s to expensive at any price. I had the beef tips
My daughter has celiac disease, so finding excellent gluten free food and drink options can be a challenge. Tent City Taphouse was so delicious that we plan on returning during our week in Anchorage. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Make reservations because the space is small. We found ourselves strangely captivated by the Bob Ross channel, mainly for the epic hairstyles and fashion. Try the duck fat truffle fries and the gf halibut and chips. The local brews and ciders are all Alaskan. Everyone loved their food and drinks. They even had 2 gluten free desserts, which were very good. I normally avoid downtown areas like the plague, but it's worth the trip.

The fish and chips is AMAZING!! I also ordered the chowder, but I am pretty sure the door dasher stole it from my bag as the bag was badly crumpled when it was given to me. I'll be going to the restaurant in person sometime to try the chowder and get another order of fish and chips! Save yourself the hassle and don't use door dash to order.

Tent City Taphouse is quite the hidden gem! Stopped here on a whim for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. As a lover of sour beers, it was awesome to see the vast selection of sour beers available. The food was immaculate as well. We ordered the Chowder and Pelmeni to start, which were both amazing. For entrees we ordered the Halibut & Chips and Beef Tips, both of which were delicious!
Our server, Kayli went above and beyond to make our experience great! Kayli even offered samples of two of the sour beers when I was torn between choices. Overall, if you’re considering a place with great food, great drinks, and quality service - definitely consider Tent City Taphouse!

We did not eat here but really enjoyed the draft beers. Loved the hazy IPAs and the heavy porter. Very nice bartender, Kayli. Also, the story behind the name and location is quite interesting. That classic (ancient) cash register behind the bar is also very cool. The T-Shirts/swag is also cool so I bought one for ~$20 !

First time visiting Tent City and was not disappointed. Great selection of local Alasken beer. We got a flight of our choice. My husband tried the Chicken sandwich and fries, he said it was delicious. The pickles and coleslaw were slapping, the desserts were off the hook. Toffee cake and bread pudding. Huckleberry as well as maple ice cream. Fingers to lips. Yum. Teadora, our waiter, was a delight. We'll be back. I will also recommend this place. 👌

I had the gluten-free fish & chips, and picked the garlic cilantro fries. Partner had the Anchorage Style burger with Parmesan fries, and a beer the server recommended. Everything was absolutely excellent - we ended the meal and both kept saying “wow that was SO good”. With tax and tip, was $75 for two people, and would definitely recommend.
