We've been there several times. The food & the service have always been consistently good. I hope neither ever changes.

Queso Fundito add asada is a dream. We could come here just for that. The gaucho steak was great. The asada tacos are good, but I need mix and match tacos which wasn’t an option. This place is very gluten free friendly for the wife. We are still impressed after 3 visits.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican, I would keep looking. It’s a cute and chic spot but in my opinion is not worth the price tag for the amount of food you get. My fiancé got the chicken Al pastor tacos and he said that the tacos were bland. The same goes for the salsa served with them. I got the jicama coconut shrimp tacos and I thought they were good. Unfortunately, we left hungry after appetizers and entrees. Our server seemed not happy to be there, which I get everyone has their off days but we felt like a hinderance. However, she was attentive to when we were done with our food and when our drinks were low.Their drinks are yummy though.

Not much to offer except alcohol. There is not a wide variety of food.

Recommend if you're just getting drinks, but the food is absolutely not worth the price. The food isn't bad, but you're paying for the location.

They lost me immediately at $11 for chips and salsa when the salsa came in a small, oval, flat bowl with barely enough salsa for two people. When the salsa was gone we still had more than half of our chips left. Asked if salsa could get refilled and was informed that salsa was not free but we could have more chips. Why would we want more chips when we don’t have enough salsa as it is? Salsa was tasty though. Duck tacos were mid at best, especially as my third taco I pulled no less than 6 bones from. Overall, value is not there for taste nor for quantity.

My experience at Tequila 61 wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The hostess was really bubbly so I thought that my experience was going to be amazing. Once we sat down our waitress wasn't rude but seemed like she hated her job. She just did the bare minimum but I still tipped over 18% as maybe she had something going on in her personal life. The food was not good and the best thing was the pear salad, which isn't a good thing if this is a Mexican restaurant. I ate 1 fish taco as the halibut was way overcooked and filled up on salad. My husband ate his guacho steak but it was definitely mooing and not medium cooked. I would not go back to try again.

So the steak was good. The potatoes were Oaxaca cheese potatoes, and I never got the flavor of the cheese. No salt on them either. My wife got the halibut tacos, and the fish was slightly overcooked, and the tortillas weren't cooked long enough. The salads were great. The drinks were good as well. The chips and guacamole were good, but I was surprised to see radish on it. New one for me. The beans my wife got also had cumin in them, which was also new to me. The restaurant looked great on the outside and the inside, but the food just wasn't where we thought it should have been.

I have lived here my entire life and had never ventured downtown to try this place. I will become a regular! Food was fantastic! The Eddie's Trropical was delicious! Very nice experience for me!

Excellent service and food! They were able to accommodate our very large party with multiple tables for my birthday, yet still provide prompt and enjoyable service. Love this restaurant and will be back! Thank you!

Food is predictably creative and fun, but the real joy is in the cocktail menu. With the competition from Whiskey & Ramen, Spenard Roadhouse, and Crush, local bars have stepped up their game and T61 certainly will not be left behind. Great tequilas and mezcal, creatively poured and perfectly presented! Don't believe me? Order a Sneaky Pete without checking reading the menu for spoilers.

The food was absolutely amazing! I would suggest that if you are dining with children, ask to be seated away from the bar area.

This was our first time to Tequila 61. For appetizers we got the calimari and goat cheese balls. For our entrees we got the rock fish tacos and carne asada tacos. My wife got an orange Julius and I got a spicy margarita. Both drinks were excellent. The appetizers were both really good. The tacos were good as well. Good flavor profiles, very well cooked. Though to be honest, the carne asada tacos at Taco King are still hands down the best in town and a fair bit cheaper. They brought out our entrees at the same time as our appetizers. This was really annoying. It's nice to have some time between the two, plus there's no room on the table for all the food. I ordered rice and beans with my tacos. They never arrived and we were charged for two orders. They quickly fixed our bill with no problems. All in all, the food is excellent and there are a couple items we want to go back to try. The food is also pretty expensive. Service is excellent. There were some kinks that should have been worked out by now. Especially the lack of time between apps and entrees.
